  • @dreamless Sorry, I can't program myself out of a wet paper bag, but if you made a XL version, I would gladly pay for it. :-)

  • Completel layman question...would Michael's 'Amazing Audio Engine' be any help with that? http://theamazingaudioengine.com/

  • I already tried the amazing audio engine right when it came out. It's pretty much only useful for non music apps that need a simple audio engine. It would never work for music production apps. It can't play audio samples without a long delay and clicks and pops. I need to make a sampler like the one in Beat-Machine that can rapid fire samples from any start or end point, and do it in reverse. Gonna have to make my own :)

  • Sounds easy! ;)

  • @dreamless sounds good, looking forward to your guitar synth!
Some things that would be nice to have in it:
polyphony, bass guitar input support and midi out, maybe Jack too.
I bought all the other pitch to midi apps on the app store, some are quite good.
But maybe (hopefully) yours will be better than the others.

  • I don't find Jam Synth on the french appstore ?

  • It's not out yet :)

It has midi out, I forgot to mention it. I can probably make it work on bass, but the latency will be doubled if it has to track pitches that low. Right now you can select 5 or 10 ms. Polyphonic guitar tracking is borderline magic and hardly works when it does work. You lose the "guitarness" of your playing because it has a hard time with bends and slides and things inherent to stringed instruments. Hex pickups will always be the only real solution to polyphonic guitar synths :)

I guess I should make a demo of what it sounds like while I wait for apple to approve the dang thing.

  • do you have any new app released soon ?!:)
