    1) create a solid full midi song with korg gadget
    2) export the standard midi files in hardware sequencer Squarp pyramid

This makes me lust after the Squarp a little less. Can I ask 1) why you start in Gadget and 2) how you use the Squarp in the creative part of the process? I'm assuming it's more than a MIDI file player!

I have made songs from scratch with the Squarp Pyramid. It's easy to do and well thought for that.
But I don't always have the time to turn my whole studio on, especially these days, i have some exams soon. My alternative is gadget, which i love too. It lets me create a song anywhere anytime, and then when i can extract something worth it, i will use the squarp and my instruments. BTW, The Pyramid will let me edit some parts and add midi effects here and there. Sometimes i will completely edit a track. It's not just a midi file player, depending how the song turns out when played by analog hardware.

. I've very happy with Audiobus!! It would be nice to see transport controls (start, stop, record, rewind) added to Audiobus though..... That would be VERY helpful!

This misses the point....transport controls for sequenced instruments that properly keep time....there ARE some that do it (IAA Instruments/AU instruments), but by and large developers DON'T make IAA INSTRUMENTS, they make IAA GENERATORS..... AND.... Link needs transport controls (start, stop, record, rewind)....

... but I'm just saying that developers either need to focus more on the work process that the majority of users use...

The majority of AB forum poll responders !== majority of users.

And yet, as the poll continues, the numbers in the first category continue to rise. What are we at at this point? 34 votes and 62.44%? It tells me that I'm not alone in my particular work process...

It's not that you're alone. You're not. Indeed, I don't think many people would be anti the sort of features you'd like to see in apps. But just say what you mean and want instead of thinking that the results of a poll conducted among a narrow sample group somehow adds gusto to your request(s).

If you ask 100 Egyptian children if they like Madonna and 85% of them answer "I've never heard of her", you wouldn't say "See, most Africans have never heard of Madonna!". ;)

I can't argue that. You are correct....

Makes sense. I was hoping/expecting mobility was the reason. Actually, I wasn't because now I'm lusting after it again. :) You almost saved me 650 (non-existing) dollars.

  • Speaking of possibly spending $600 or more...

Since there is a strong possibility I will be put on an airplane to play a gig later this summer,, I'm trying to decide between picking up a 2nd iPad (w/ 2 iPads, one will back up the other in case something goes wrong) or a small hardware synth like a Monomachine.

  • I just made another one using Garageband and Auria Pro together. Here it is!

    Enjoy!
