@j_liljedahl I've been a member since June 2015. I mostly lurk so this is my first ever comment here. Mucho props on AUM and the AUFX series. Brilliant, brilliant apps! I bought AUM and AUFX:Push the day they dropped. I have Space and FX which I use all the time. AUM is forever up on my very modest iPad 4.
I have a few questions/recommendations:
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BOSS!!!
you are an animal! (i know we're all animals, but you are an animal! you know what i mean?)
appreciate all of your hard work.
However, I didn't pay for this app so you could sleep! cut that 7 hours down to 6 please.
That's great
No specific ETA, but yes they will!
Since AUM itself has no timeline editor, there's no logical place to put something like that.
Yeah, I've various thoughts about this. Collapsable channel groups, screen "bookmarks", etc.. We'll see!
Will think about it! One thing new in the coming update is you can double-tap the empty fx slot area to quickly add a new fx slot. Maybe something similar can be done to add channels.
I'll do my best!
Cheers
My 2 year old daughter is already working hard on that (cutting down my sleeping hours).. no worries!
@j_liljedahl is currently possible to sync the recording. i.e. make perfect loops in AUM. I've recorded a few channels but have silence before the loop.
I can't recall if this was actually mentioned before, but will in/out points for fileplayer loops ever be a possible addition?
Ohhh, ahhhh. Are in loop points something supported by aif or some other iOS native format? If so, I'd rather see that ability in Audio Share and have AUM respect those points whenever it sees them in a file.
@rt1zan you can automate via an external midi sequencer. Probably a bit of a chore to map it all but if you do it once, you can save the setup and use it to base new set ups off of.
:-) understand. 3 1/2 y and 1/2 y boys here
That reminds me. If you get time, have a meeting with all of your design and engineering department and get them to rip the audio guts out of sector and replace it with midi. Should only take them a couple of hours, the morning at the most, it’ll be done before they go home for the weekend.
@syrupcore Yes I know about using external MIDI sequencing to achieve quasi-automation in AUM. I figured it out before I asked @j_liljedahl the question about automation. Was running Cubasis alongside AUM to capture MIDI CC, then routing it into AUM. However, I was hoping to have AUM do it natively so I could save memory resources by running one less app.
What a brilliant blast from the past - the wonderful Diagram Brothers!
Takes me back.....
Hmm, AUM syncs the start of the recording, so you should get no silence before the loop (assuming your sound source is synced to the clock, either via host sync or Ableton Link).
However, synced stop of recording is something I'm working on, today actually!
Interesting idea, will certainly give it some thought. I do think there's add-on metadata for WAV at least for this.
