Ha I can't imagine puking on the doc. That's awful!

Hey, with the Dr's permission maybe you can listen to the stream with earbuds. Might calm your nerves...er...maybe the just the opposite!

I think I'm going for the cosh to the head....out like a light approach ;)

  • Good luck- hope it all works out for the best.

Yeah like the prices of iPads. I have a sneaky suspicion, they will sneak in a little cost increase :'(

...that Apple have scheduled their special event for the exact same time I'm going to hospital to have a camera shoved down my throat. Apple you suck! :p

Could be worse - I woke up Tuesday with some minor cramps/pain in my abdominal area. Went to ER later that night - and after a long wait, X-rays, a ct scan and other stuff they said my abdomen was close to bursting. They took it out yesterday - Dr said it was very septic and I have to remain in hospital for the weekend... My first real operation and I've never spent more than 1 hour at a time visiting people in a hospital. It's been fun - not!

Yep I'm quite used to hospitals. Before I got ill, I was a mental health nurse.

My wife says I'm just mental now :p

Hope your recovery goes smoothly :)

  • Good luck matey :)

Once had a lot of blood taken, when I hadn't had breakfast, and as a result felt a bit woozy. Next thing I knew I woke up on top of a nurse, who had seen me falling off the chair and broken my fall. We went out for a while. :)

    Smoothly done ;)

Lmaooo I did think about it, but thought compassion was the best route, but hey now you showed your disappointment, what about getting the doc to see if he can tune your vocal chords while he is down there :D

Not a bad idea :D I tell ya, my vocals have never been the same since I had to give up alcohol :p

  • My vocals don't exist without alcohol, and even then never into a mic other than a sing star or rock band mic :D

My voice was quite powerful when I was young. Always thought I would end up with nice graverly tones from smoking. Instead I just ended up with less lung capacity :p

  • He he he, my missus is quite gravelly, she had to have a biopsy on her vocal chords a year and a half ago, she sounded like Mo Farrah for a bit afterwards :D

I decided on just the throat spray and regretted it. Was gagging that hard on its way out I've got loads of burst blood vessels all over my face. Never again! Next time they can knock me out :p

Yeah like the look of the 9.7 iPad Pro :)

If anything is guaranteed to make you splutter more than endoscopy, it's Apple spinning their magic with the sole intention of picking our pockets.

It's not too bad. I got the 64gb iPad Air2. At the time, the 128gb was £560. So now it's £620. £60 more for an extra 2gb ram, faster processor, better cameras, better speakers, improved screen etc.

Would have been nice for the price rise to be a tad less. No real rush, my Air2 still does the biz, except for lack of storage.

Glad you're through it, a similar method is used in turture involving swallowing rags, so if you have a next time, take the drugs, I would.

  • Yes....always take the drugs! I didn't in some moments.... bad decision!!
