I used to work as a mental health nurse in the drug and alcohol area. Really miss it....everyday was 'interesting'
I´m already dead.... gave up smoking 12 years ago (but was one of my best decisions ever), drink alcohol just 1-2 times a months.
But what about appoholism?
What doesn't kill you, .will make......
......music
I have the same procedure coming up. I will do any drug that they offer!
Yes do! I wish I'd taken notice of what people have said here. It does not hurt, it's just such a horrible experience.
The trick, so I'm told, is to keep steadily breathing in from your mouth, but it's so difficult to keep that going when the tube passes the start of your throat.
You may be alright and handle it ok, but I'd say have the gas!
Yep, wish I'd done that instead of taking a shed full of the ones they didn't offer good luck & get well soon @Crawlingwind & @Fruitbat1919
There must be a pipe down the throat blues song in all this somewhere
Oh yeah, I'm working on a 3 chord punk version as we speak.......
1,2,3,4. .........
Can we make it Elecro Punk?
Don't miss the boat
when it comes to your throat
sod the dumb mugs
keep taking the drugs
A cover of The Tubes perhaps ? Although from your description something by Bad Manners and Buster Bloodvessel may be more appropriate. And will you perform at your next Live Gag ,
I'm all up for performing live.......Zzzzzzzzzzzz
So What....are we afraid of lyrics.....is the man keeping us down....I played 'Woman' to my wife just before our wedding
Brilliant......The Tubes. Can you believe where they're playing in the UK this year.................
F...... Butlins in Skeggy! Honest! They are being joined by Sham 69 & The Rezillos amongst other, old Punk bands. Must get a ticket & remember me Zimmer frame to rest after pogoing! Butlins!!!! ........I'm shaking my head!
Oh my word are they all still going ? Are UK Subs on the bill ? We supported them at a gig in the 1990's, they gave up playing after 4 songs because we had blown them away
I will play live if I can have one of those motorised seats to whizz about on stage
O and a cane to poke the audience with
Admit it, you wanna be Jessie J at Glastonbury
I was thinking more Numan in his C5 lookalike at his Wembley concerts...
Wow, that's some claim to fame there sir. I'm really interested.......what band were you in? Anything punk, old & new flicks my on switch. I think you must've blown the Subs away too far as I don't think they're involved. What did you do to uncle Charlie Harper? He probably "lives in a car" now. Sorry, that was terrible!
I don't remember that one, "Here in my electric car"
Lmaoo, you won't have heard of us I don't think, we were only local to Farnborough/Aldershot area, we were called Serious Plankton and played a Punk/Ska/Reggae kind of thing. Charlie was not impressed at the time, he wouldn't speak to us, we had nearly 300 people watching us, when they came on it dwindled to about 20, and 5 of those were us from the band.
I do have two bigger claims to fame, not punk related though.
Keep those in your pants sir....this is pg 13
Haha @Fruitbat1919 yes it's before the watershed. Soz to briefly hijack your thread but I've had to pull up a chair to hear these other two claims to fame from @AndyPlankton . Over to you sir.. It'll be tough to beat slaughtering the Subs though.....
@Bluepunk
No probs....I'm easy on my threads
Ah, thank you kindly.
Always take your injection...

We made it onto telly, it was ITV nightscreen, I still have a VHS of it somewhere, but no player lol.
Also, as you are a punk fan you may remember Mega City Four ?, well we were good mates with them, and bassist Gerry used to record our demo's and do our sound for us at gigs, they got a centre spread in Melody maker, and Gerry wore one of the T-Shirts that I hand painted for the photo shoot. (OMG I just googled it and ebay.co.uk/itm/Mega-City-Four-interview-Neneh-Cherry-ad-Melody-Maker-31-10-92-/172073906786) Zoom on the guy left of centre's t-shirt
Gerry was also soundman for Shakin Stevens, so we had the same soundman
Another interesting thing is that we used to practice at a place called the Trinity Studios in Knaphill.
One day after rehearsal the manager came in and said that the girls who had been practicing for weeks in the room next door liked what we were doing and asked us to go and watch them perform what was going to be their first single. The Manager was saying how they were gonna be the next big thing.
We watched them do their thing and were saying that they were good but it wasn't really our thing. Yeah whatever, next big thing, sneer.
2 weeks later they were at number 1 with Wannabe
