The Focusrite stuff will be interesting
After further experimentation it actually does work with the Korg MicroKEY 37. It is very finnicky though. I have to plug and unplug things a few times until it decides to work. I can also power my Apogee Jam via the hub built into the Korg.
EDIT: I can also connect ANOTHER MicroKEY 25 while the other MicroKEY and Jam are connected.
I asked apogee a while ago to make maestro see the one when connected to the cck but they didn't sound like they're willing to make that happen. Maybe if more people bug them about it they'll get it.
I will buy one of these "stupid clagnuts" anyway, but any idea if the USB connector from an iRig HD will work into an iPad through it? Would be nice - then I could power the iPad at the same time without having to purchase the slightly cumbersome iRig power supply...
It works with the old one so it should work with the new one as well. Powerbridge is obsolete :-)
hmm, I wonder if this works with an iconnectaudio4+ so you can be plugged into that and charging and then plug another usb device into the ipad via the other port....
eg is the lightening port on this device just for power or is it data too?
Anyone found that the iPad runs at a higher power profile while charging?
O
I think it's only for charging, at least someone said so.
I'm happy if that's the case! Its fortunate that the iRig comes with the modular cables - but a bit of a downer for sales of their Powerbridge...
I had the same thought. Just power.
Thanks, yeah wishful thinking....still useful though will get one anyway.
^^ I had to look it up
It's dingleberries ^^
In my language there is no word for that ^^
We need to send shipments of classy UK magazine Viz to your country at the earliest opportunity!
I have to confess, I didn't even think to look it up! Oh dear... It's from the most recent Sonic State video in case you think I coined the description! Edit: I had to look up dingleberries too
^^

I should visit a nasty British for you class,
Yeah, I saw the show too, that's why I looked it up ^^
Anyone know if this new clagnut will provide enough USB power to run a Roland Duo-Capture EX and keep my iPad charged? (air 1)
(Using the additional lightning port with a standard iPad charger)
Cheers
Just tested it, can't get it to work unfortunately. In tablet mode it seems to require 9v or batteries. In computer mode it tries to power up but then comes up as not supported on the iPad. Tested on an iPad Air 9.2.1.
iPad Air2 OS9.3: used the new USB3cck with a passiv 4xUSB-Hub: behringer uc222 + M-Audio KeyRig25Keyboard + 2 x nanocontrolle2 >> this Works but if i plug my Quneo with another passive 4xUSB-Hub additional quneo jumps into the env. but if i press&lightn some Pads on the Quneo, Banng it crashed down the envireonment...
To work it again have to plug all off, and have to begin in seriell to plug it back in USB3cck with a passiv 4xUSB-Hub >>
1.behringer uc222 +
2.M-Audio KeyRig25Keyboard +
3.&4. > 2 x nanocontrolle2 then it works again,
if i plug the full mounted passiv 4x USB HUB with all the stuff in....no it doesnt Start/Boot the UCS SoundCard!
Strange is that i could run this with a power supply from a 10W iPadPowerWallSupply(10W 5,1V 2.1A), but it doesnt work with a external USB Battery with 5V/2.1A.....but with the WallCharger it will......hmmm?
with the normal CCK the ipadAIR2 runs max passiv with UCA222+1xnanocontroll FINISH more is labil....
@thatsRayor that's a shame but thanks for testing it, much appreciated.
Somebody with iOS 9.3 should try it as well. The adaper is for 9.3 upwards and there is a thread in the facebook musician group where somebody had adapter trouble on 9.1 and it worked after updating (some people in the comments had similar experiences)
I have a Duo Capture as well and looking forward to the adaper.I'll get mine next week.
It works on my iPad Air 2 iOS 9.3.
Plugged in, it charges and I can use USB hub with BSP and PCR 300.
Pretty nice
@soundklinik That's great news! I'm guessing you have it set to tablet mode?
What is a tablet mode on iPad?
I don't use any iDocks or external sound cards. Headphones out goes to a preamp and out to audio system.
Both my USB devices use external power. BSP is on a RavPower battery pack and PCR 300 uses 9VDC PS.
They go into an unpowered USB hub, 3 in 1
@richardyot , you made me ROFL
Nice to hear as I have the same controller since a long time
he was thinking you were referring to the Roland Duo Capture EX (as that was the unit we were talking about right before your post).I was thinking the same![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Does anyone know if it's possible, to still use the Lightning port to connect , say an alesis iodock?
Original Alesis dock works with the 30pin to Lightning adapter and the current version ships with a lightning connector. I have no idea if you could plug a USB device in at the same time though.
The IO dock II has a lightning connector which might fit into the CCK3, but if it works, ai don't know. Will try sometime next week. Great idea.
The lightning port only passes power to the iOS and USB devices, no data.
