Well you missed out big time @Nathan. This is seriously the funnest music app I've downloaded in a long time. Maybe ever. Just got completely distracted from what I was doing and spent like an hour paying it.
Still prefer playground
Well, that was the easiest sign up I've ever done. I think I signed my house and kids away though, I didn't read the fine print. This is a very interesting app. And ya, @JamMaestro it is waaaay fun to play.
yep
If you guys enjoy this kind of thing we should really ask Hermutt Lobby to update Beatsurfing so we would be able to play our stuff as we can play others stuff on playground. Waiting an update since ever

Playground is something special.
It is the future of a non linear plane of producing SOUNDS that happen to be music.
I believe this app will be the cyber equivalent of a voltage synth in comparison to an organ.
It reframes the way you think about what is always the next level of what you can do instead of the level of what the physical limitations constrain you.
You wont regret it. I understand where you're coming from as I've deleted apps instantly in the past when I've seen a sign in wall too, but signup was literally just choosing a username and I was in (I did sign in with facebook..). You'll need a user account for the big planned updates they have for this thing in the future I believe.
Interesting... not heard of this. Believe I've found it on the App Store though so going to try it out now.
when hermutt lobby adds sample import it's gonna be a wrap., right now they are strangely pre occupied with video recording
So you get it too then...............yup
It is right there on the edge of taking it to a new level.
ANIMATION for the ARTIST is WHAT THOU SPEAK OF.
LIVE MEANING LIVE.
yes, excited about future of things
imagine if thomas edison was like yeah i could put light in this thing but, nahhhh

so incredibly vexing, for sure.
I'm sorry, I have followed this app for years since it was Amplyfy. I even tried to sign up for the beta. It looked like a mix of lemur and a self contained music app like tabletop or nanostudio.
What we get is a content delivery method where you remix other people's work.
It's not even as good as figure, I don't normally do this and vocally pan an app but please....
I am soooo disappointed. Boooooo!!!
Ah. But the serious Appaholic downloads this for free in the sure and certain knowledge that should it ever be on par with the bees knees he can lean back in his chair and mutter "Yes, early adopter....yes..." I think of it as vaguely similar to putting a pint of cheap Albanian vodka in the lampshade and then forgetting (mostly) all about it...
Super disappointed with this one. I was anticipating for at least half a year because they made it look like an awesome, yet quirky modular app in all the videos. It just turned out to be a lame free/account required, mash up app with all pre produced samples. The interface is cool, yes. But it leaves a lot to be desired. I would have loved an instrument with this aesthetic, but alas, I've deleted it.
You know, this is just Junglator, it's by the same team, with different sounds.
Instant delete, sorry but this is useless for anyone who makes their own music. May be fun for a toddler for an afternoon but I'm sure they even get bored with it after a day.
Sea monkeys
The thing I like about playground is that it is no musical instrument but a different way to enjoy some signed music in a different way, as much as you had a music sheet in front. Noiz unfortunately doesn't go in any direction, not a Beatsurfing sampler nor a Playground music player
This.
I reckon all the stuff we've been looking forward to is still coming. I'm glad they finally released something. that had to feel good after all this time.
Plus, free. I imagine scene editing (including sample import) will be an IAP in some version of the future.
Too bad some of the videos I've seen had a synth or so and way more advanced features. If we had:
and the usual audiobus, blabla.
I would pay a good chuck for an app like that.
All those features are still in the app, its just been condensed into a more usable interface. I'm sure you'll get more access to them when they expand it with a pro version where you can create your own templates
@JamMaestro I hope so. Anyway definitely keeping an eye on that app.
Like this?
http://beatsurfing.net/
Is a midi controller so you have to make it work with your gear but it does exactly that if you mind to tune your setup right
@mschenkel.it Hahaha, I was on the beatsurfing website watching some vids.
beatsurfing is not the same as Playground, Playground has quite some capability that beat surfing does not, and that is in addition to it being self contained. They are not the same. The fact that playground does not allow sample import currently sucks waaaaaaaaay more than Noise not allowing it..... Both of these devs know about this, we'll just have to see what the future holds.
My sentiments, too.
