Rustik have you been able to get at the Playground samples via ifunbox or some other kind of app, I'm wondering if I can use one of those apps to just replace the samples?
Amplify looked amazing. This has a deep house remix template. Boo. I'm with the deletes on this one.
Update as of today. Interesting (and sensible) that they've removed the login requirement.
Thanks, @JohnnyGoodyear.
Hey, Alex here from Studio Amplify, makers of NOIZ.
Glad you're enjoying what we're doing. We also hear you: you want to create your own tracks. With that in mind we're adding more editing features moving towards a full track builder later down the line. We've just released version 1.3 adding sound tweaking, and up next is pattern editing.
These updates will let you to get creative with the app and with your feedback we can continue to work in the features that you want!
BTW We also made it to the front page of Product Hunt which is a great way for us to gain some momentum. If you like what we're doing, please support us here >> www.producthunt.com/tech/noiz
Cheers!
PS - we've also removed the login page on version 1.3
Great to hear that, once sample loading is in I will buy. Keep up the good work
+1.
Thx for stopping in.
Hi Alex,
Cool! And hello.
(Full disclosure to everyone - i'm a beta tester.)
And I hope i'm ok in saying that a lot of the deeper editing stuff that people here (although not everywhere) understandably want (in order to create their own tracks) has been thought about for later.
So I think this will end up being a pretty amazing and very innovative live/production tool in time.
I'd also say that it's better to release features when they are nice and solid - rather than rush things out.
Matt
It's all good! We have nothing to hide haha! It's good to hear from a beta tester, you guys provided very valuable feedback
Updated again
What's New
• Check out the new pattern editor! Edit beats, melodies & more to make your mashups even more unique!
• You can now change the scale of the song on the master page
• Added an attack slider to the synth on the instrument settings page
• Other tweaks, improvements and bug fixes
This is starting to get really interesting I think.
@kobamoto - maybe you should take a look
You can now essentially write your own looped phrases (triggered by the shapes on the interface) and also create your own synth patches. So you can change a given track into a completely different track.
@Alex fox - some questions:
Are you gonna bring the beta back?
starting to feel like Auxy syndrome
@Matt_Fletcher_2000
Thanks for the qs:
Hope that answers your questions!
When will we be able to record and export/Audiocopy/paste a performance? This is paramount.
@db909 we're working on a recording feature right now - would you want to use AudioBus to record out?
That would be a welcome addition I'm sure, but personally I'd be more likely to record a performance and simply audio copy/paste into another app.
One thing I've noticed as well regarding the piano roll. When you place a note, the note triggers. But given the simple nature of easily adding more bars, I'm sure lots of folks would just hit play and add notes as it loops to see how it sounds. If notes are being triggered when they are placed AND by the playhead, it becomes confusing for the ear. The ear expects to hear the placed note only when the playheads triggers it. It would be nice to be able to turn off the triggering of notes when placing them. Currently, with both happening, ones sense of rhythm is thrown off when trying to build a loop up on each pass of the playheads. Hope that makes sense.
Ok this is more like it. The update is showing what this is capable of. Saving and naming would be good.
I reallllllllly want the full create mode, I have been following this for years and I can see it would be amazing with full create. This has now got me quite exited again!!
Good progress. Congrats. Will stay in my 'possibly elegant but not for use yet' folder until we have some way of getting out what we put in etc. I am optimistic that this is coming
Thanks Alex.
I think it's fair to say that a lot of people on this forum would be keen to have Noiz be as fully a fledged production/Iive tool as possible. And I'd take that as a compliment - because people see its potential.
Likely functionality to make that possible would include:
I think it's fair to say that many would be happy paying for this functionality.
But obviously it's your roadmap, and these things take time.
My view is that right now it feels well designed and solid - so that's really promising. And it has loads of potential - particularly for fun live use.
Maybe the @jakoB_haQ / @thesoundtestroom might be interested in doing a demo?
First jam, just now.
full create mode?.... I'm going to fully pull my hair out.
thank you for looking into link
and thank you for "We are planning to increase the amount of edit-ability into the tracks as we go forward until we reach a point in which you will be able to create them from scratch"
haha yea. It's on the list of things to add! Just a toggle or something
