Funny how the small things (Fixed issue with pasting onto the first track) can make the whole evening feel brighter somehow

Rim never sleeps.. Thanks, Rim
Unbelievable! This is the first time ever I’ve been able to actually use Auria together with another app running at the same time. Now I can see what people like about it. Of course, it’s nothing but a barrage of low memory warnings, as usual, but the important thing is that it let me actually record from another app, and then after that, another. This is amazing!
You gotta wipe all that porn off your iPad 2
“wipe”?
Yeah, you get special cloths for that
Rim wins top prize for most attentive developer. Whenever I've contacted him he's always replied the same day.Very helpful, courteous and above all, professional.
Can anyone confirm that drawing in consecutive MIDI notes functions properly now? When I tried it a while ago, drawing in a note immediately next to another (touching) would delete the note to the left. Made it a no-go for me with hand programming synth lines and drums!
If I'm understanding you right, it appears to be fine (overlapping notes now result in shortening, not deleting).
Maybe better to wrap your iPad in Cling Film first?.......
All from a company named
RIM
"Cymbal shot"
AndyE: me too (Rim/ most attentive).Where does he get the time?
What Rim has done for iOS is amazing. Just imagine if he made Auria Pro for Windows, or Mac...........
Post on John's Musicappblog:
"AU support? Ableton Link support? Of course not…
Just a long list of bug fixes that shouldn’t be there in the first place I’m afraid…"
All I need to find out now is if the Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK mixer works with my iPad.
Would be one great combination Auria Pro and a multitrack Analog desk
Ok I hope this isn't a thread de-railer: I bought Auria the day it came out, and upgraded to Pro the day it came out, with a couple FF IAPs in between but not all of them. On both versions I get an annoying 60hz type hum when I connect any guitar I have (Ovation, Fender, Ibanez). I'm using the nice clean Focusrite iDock and an up to date Air 2 128gb. Also the guitar goes in as mono and I prefer stereo tracks on everything. My point is with identical set up I automatically get noise free stereo inputs on Cubasis. Similar noise problems with microphones on Auria but not Cubasis. Pro-C does not help much. Please somebody tell me I'm an idiot and there is a simple fix in some setting somewhere that would get Auria to do what Cubasis does by default for me. I prefer Auria, but I just can't get a decent live input.
If it is truly a 60Hz hum, what is plugged into AC power, or do you have any cables near AC lines?
When you create a project, which sample rate and bit depth do you select? What is the buffer size? Does the Focusrite have an iOS control app? If it does, what is the selected sample rate and bit depth shown there? Must be the same as Auria's. I record vocals, guitar and basses into Auria Pro everyday, using an Apogee One, without a single issue!
Not it only shows up on Auria, none of my other DAWs or apps have it. Been that way with Auria since I first got it. I've actually gone to great lengths to get an interface and iPad that would not contribute to this problem. Nice cables, eliminated ground loop hums, moved to another house (seriously), noiseless guitar pickups. I have no noise on my iOS system except when I crank up Auria. Only the iDock is plugged in by itself. Obviously the iPad is plugged into the iDock. In a little room all by itself.
Do you have any other interfaces to compare? What if you just use the iPad mic input?
Rim thanks for supporting IOS7 works great.
@theconnattic thanks I will check those settings. I'll have to check a few hours from now when I get home. I'll check directly into th iPad mic too.
Got a link for that?
It's not the actual review, it's just one of the comments. I would link but for some reason the clipboard on my iPad is borked, just search for musicappblog and you will find it.
Ya John didn't write it a reader did. I responded, cuz Auria is an amazing app with an equally amazing developer.

OK. Thought it was in a blog itself, which would require/deserve refutation with the big boots, but if'n it was just another fool like ourselves, not bothered. Thanks for the clarification.
You bet. agreed.
Thanks for that - yeah just like, consecutive 16th notes on c3 (or whatever). I wasn't able to draw them in previously. I might give Auria another shot then!
From the auriaforum, about the new draw mode: 'To move a note: just tap and move it. No need to long tap.
