where have all the new apps gone?

As a card carrying member of Audio Apps Anonomoyus, I am having a lot of trouble these let to weeks. I am craving new iOS audio synths, or effects, or whatever app relates to making music.
Are there any new apps coming out that I can look forward to soon? I need my fix!

I'm told we can look for the new Shoom app within a week "if all goes well". This is from the dev of Xynthesizr.

Really looking forward to this one.

  • Yes, I'm waiting for shoom too, also the Dagger synth;
and there will be something new from sugar bytes! Although certainly in a while...

  • I've been doing IAP's to wet my whistle. for fingerfiddle, which is awesome. And Synthmaster. Those are on a wee bit sale ATM. I didn't think 1,000 presets were enough, so I had to add 200 to them. I do have a problem.

  • 2nd preview for Shoom!

sound crazy! I wish it had link (I can't confirm if it's the case or not)

  • I just feel a bit overloaded with noise makers.

I would like something more like the Twin2 but standalone.

From the other preview and the specs, shoom seems to be more versatile than just a noisemaker

    That would be good :)

  • I'm just waiting for the coming ThumbJam update...

I don't feel the need for any more apps right now... I never end up using them.

  • I'm hankering more for hardware. To be honest, it's pretty difficult to choose what to delete to fit anything new on my ipad ;)

  • On my side, I'm waiting for :

    • Loopy ME (which is supposed to come out in the next few months and I can't wait because I'm pretty sure @Michael will strongly raise the bar on music making app with this one).
    • Beatmaker 3 (come on, the devs were supposed to be strongly working on it last summer and no news since then... I keep the faith lol).
    • New Gadgets from Kord (I hope... Even if I would prefer them to update the Bilbao and Abu Dhabi Gadgets to make them more usable in terms of sample editing/stretching)

... I'm feeling that I would have all I ever dreamed of in terms of music making apps if the 3 above could come true...
And at least, I'm pretty confident that my dream will be greatly fulfilled thanks to Loopy ME)...

    Peace.

  • That Shoom would make a great alarm in the morning- a little mod to make sure it plays right through.... never be late for work again.

Yes, excited about Beatmaker 3. we're is that one?
Time stretching apps, bring them on, also a pitch transposing app would be great too, for making buildups, and swooshing movie trailer sounds.

  • I'm waiting for dagger mostly, plus the au versions of au:fx and sunrizer and also (but who knows when) BeatHawk 2.0 and Cubasis 2.0

OK, so I am waiting for:

    • Any update to Korg Gadget
    • Any update to Animoog or Samplr (basically giving them LINK)
    • Update to Midi-Designer Pro or TB Midi stuff so they can be used as split screen

    But they are all updates...

And I'd be very, very interested in NanoStudio2...

  • Yeah, we're at such a saturation point right now with content, that there are really only a few areas where a new app is going to come into a vacuum and provide something that we simply couldn't do before on iOS. That's not to say that there aren't or can't be exciting new apps. There's decades of hardware and software instruments that could be ported over, not to mention exciting new mobile experiences. But if we need a particular sound that does _______, there's probably an effective and affordable way to do that with what we have now.

I get most excited when new updates pop up, particularly for apps like Gadget, Caustic, etc. that are designed with iOS in mind and offer new functionality. "More stuff" is always fun, and I definitely fall victim to it, but there's quite a bit I could be doing already with the stuff we have, and don't because of lack of time, or just being overwhelmed by the volume of what's available.

  • I think we could all use more multi timbral synths with built in layering and loop arranging capabilities

    Samesies.

@eross Have you doug[sic] through The Sound Test Room archives recently? Garuns there are at least a few interesting apps there that you either don't own or haven't used in a while.

  • The new Loopy, NS2 and 30 hour days.

  • Yawn. Wake me if something really different pops up the rest of the year. Perhaps Derek Buddemeyer's drum app will spark my intrerest but perhaps not as well. Feeling underwhelmed by choices this past few months and that is alright as it gives me more time for other endeavors. I can not remember the last app that caught my interest right now even.

  • Shroom looks good I'll have that one lol other-wise I'd like updates to some of my apps that aren't working properly with aum :((

  • Modstep update...

  • Also, and I know Dagger is being worked on, but Sunrizerxs is completely broken on iPhone 6

  • I'm looking forwards to Shoom, otherwise enjoying a break from compulsive purchasing.

  • A. My belly!

  • I'm currently waiting for:

    more AUs like Sunrizer AU
Link, midi control and multi out for Samplr
    The next Sugar Bytes.....
    Midi Learn for Waldorf Attack.
More and more improvements for Modstep which keeps getting better and better.

But I have enough iOS so I'm looking at hardware more right now.

I have no clue... They are about to release a new synth vst, and at the end of their new tease video they talk about something new for iOS, so... A new synth?
