So Johnny's a cat ... Much that was once but mystery is now revealed.
@skiphunt expressed an interest in a tips sharing thread - think we can combine this or another Shoom thread into a kind of one-stop Shoom thread for preset-sharing, tips, tracks - possibly even feature requests if @YuriT is ever able to get his comments working again. Thoughts?
Johnny's always been a pussy, but that's another dull story. As regards tips but especially shared presets; a good idea. I have already been making progress with some of those posted...

Sweet! Nice & playable. Thx
As the very brilliant musician once said:
I'm counting 19 new presets from this thread - all stored in my "AB Forum Xchange" bank. Thank you everyone! @Fruitbat1919, @crzycrs, @kin, @skiphunt, @otem_rellik - you rock!
EDIT: Cause I can't count. Also settling in to read Mr. 1919's review
Like it. Brings some rhythm, playability....
@Fruitbat1919 - Nice, well-rounded review
I left a comment about the master level controls, which may help your ride get pimped
I little story about this cat. I live in Austin, Texas and have since 1989. Might have been around 91 or 92, I was at SXSW and the Austin Music Awards. Had a friend who had access back stage and I was hanging out backstage in the area designated for smoking. (stopped smoking 7 years ago)
Anyway, I didn't know much about Austin quite yet or the music scene at all. When I first moved here, everyone was depressed about some dude who'd just died in a helicopter crash. They said is name was Stevie Ray Vaughn. I said, "who?". I'd never heard of him. Seriously.
Back to the award show backstage... this other disheveled dude who looked kinda homeless (most musicians did back then) came over and was smoking with me. He seemed like a cool dude and we chatted awhile about people we were observing and I think I brought up some hardcore psychedelic experience I'd just had up in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico. This cat seemed interested.
Then some European folks came over. It was a couple, maybe Austrian but couldn't make out the accent. They asked this dude if they could take a picture and get an autograph. The dude started acting really weird and nervous with strange ticks. Then, after they had their photo and autograph they went away and the dude went right back to being completely normal chatting with me.
Someone asked me a little later if I knew who that dude was that I was talking to for so long. They said it was Roky Erickson. Again, I said, "who?". They said he was big back in the day and had a band called "The 13th Floor Elevators". I said, "cool name, but nope... never heard of them.
Later that evening there was a blues singer on the stage. She kinda looked rode hard and put up wet. Maybe a little alcoholic too. She was kinda staggering on stage, but still able to belt out some fine blues for sure.
Halfway through one of her tunes, her band stopped and somebody was helping that same dude I was smoking with onto the stage. He was kind of shuffling like he wasn't all there. Although he was kinda overweight, he was wearing this tight Michael Jackson red-leather jacket with loads of zippers and about 4 sizes too small.
They started playing some rock tune and handed this nervous dude a microphone.
OH MY GOD! The sounds that came out of that dude's mouth were incredible and hard to describe. He wailed for about 3 or 4 abbreviated tunes that were all amazing. It sounded like all of the Beatles and the best of all vocals synthesized into this one vibrating growling voice. Stunning.
Then, the drunk blues lady "LouAnn Barton" started trying to sing along with him and he didn't seem to like it. I think he either handed the microphone to somebody or might have just let it drop to the stage as he shuffled away.
Went out and bought a couple 13th Floor Elevators the very next day and played them on repeat for a good couple of weeks I think.
Weird night.

That's a terrific Roky story, thanks for sharing! To this day, I maintain "The candelabras on my piano burn hellishly, hellish hell" from "Burn the Flames" is one of the greatest lines ever written for a rock song
Might interest you to know (if you don't already) fellow Austinites include the mighty @JohnnyGoodyear and the talented @TozBourne ... Is that an iOS supergroup I smell cooking?
We're still trying to get together for a brisket sandwich. One step at a time

Thanks Sean, and I have tried. Johnny's newest idea is all about eating beef...not sure how that ties into iOS music making, but I'm ready and willing.
@skiphunt 13th Floor Elevators, man...that's great stuff. And a great, very Austin style story...love it.
Here is my library for Shoom which will be available in one of the next updates
Cheers

Nice set Thanks
Very nice work. Thank you Major Tom.
Roky is one of the best goddamn rockandroll singers who have ever walked the earth.
