Skram VS Blocs wave updates..

  • Hi @Launchpadforios

I just wondered if it would be possible to look into creating an option for a bulk backup of projects to Dropbox?

I recently lost all my projects due to having to completely reload my iPad from scratch. I am unable to backup to computer as I do not have one.

Exporting all loops helps, but it does not save the project as is, which would be helpful now that Blocs has so many ways to chop and play loops in a project, while still reverting back to the original loop.

Thanks for your great work :)

So where are these promised Skram connectivity updates then ? It's a proper team effort , not a solo bedroom dev so expected some action by now lol

Yes, we're well into the month and....nothing. Considering AB support has been added by others, I don't understand why that hasn't happened, regardless of what other wonderment may be on the way.

Skram would do well to take a leaf from the Novation book, and keep customers interested/ informed. Meanwhile.... (FX thumbtwiddle)

I'll be seriously unimpressed if it's been sidelined in favour of knocking out more IAP modules . Considering IAA and AB support are pretty much standard requirements for music apps these days it's an oversight that should have been rectified quickly :((

  • I just hope it's taking so long because they're preparing a major update that addresses most of the concerns voiced on these forums, they did post a video about a week ago showing link support so they're clearly cooking up something, I just think they would be better off doing one feature at a time and updating more regularly. I'll be very disappointed if it's taken this long just to add link.

I'm interested in Blocs Wave, but I've got one question before buying.

It looks like it can be used in the Output slot of AB. I'm guessing this means I can use AB to record other apps (Figure, Thumbjam, Launchpad) directly into Blocs Wave, correct?

    >

Tried sunrizer/Alchemy/others input AB to Blocs in the output, with background audio on of course, and can record BUT can't hear in the source apo while playing....which makes it fun and random on playback, but not a long term proposition :)

Any thoughts? Missing something that needs igniting in Blocs? Sure it's something simple, but being simple I haven't clicked it yet...

In my experience, monitoring must be on, microphone access enabled (yes even if it's Audiobus), and also, and this took me a while to figure out, you must have the recording page/tab opened in blocs to hear the input. If you switch out to chop mode or something and then trigger record from Audiobus bar in another app, you won't hear anything. So always make sure you have the recording page open each time.

  • You can still navigate to other apps while Blocs is open and trigger recording there, with blocs in the background, just make sure that it's on the recording tab. Hope that makes sense

    Thanks for your tuppenceworth!

And yes, it works. And yes, IAP loops are fun BUT NOTHING LIKE AS MUCH FUN as playing in your own rubbish and then slicing it up and back.

    So simple. So good.

I don't wholly agree with @reid as regards leaving it be, I want what we have and I want whatever else they can magic up, don't stop, bring me more truffles, I must be fed! BUT I do wholeheartedly agree with with his enthusiasm :)
