  • Great update, thanks. Hopefully everything is sol es with the unido/redo issue.

  • AU :) AU :) AU :)

  • Cheers @LFS Some great fixes in there, I'm particularly pleased to see the UNDO/REDO fix and the Midi Port mapping fixes :)

  • So, the problem with not being able to save the pad layout of custom MiniSampler instruments remains unfixed?

  • @LFS I am not being churlish, I appreciate how you guys keep churning out the updates, and the AU addition sounds great, but my first thought here was "Hmmm, surely after 1.9.9 comes 2.0.....hmmmm..." :)

Hope so too. But could be 1.9.10 or 1.10.0 (I say, trying really hard not to get excited and pretending that it wasn't also my first thought when I saw the 1.9.9 update version) :#

    Hi all,

Next to a wide range of products from Yamaha, Steinberg, Line 6, Tascam, Allen&Heath and Alesis, Cubasis LE 1.9.9 now adds IK Multimedia's iRig product family to unlock the feature set of Cubasis LE.

Please find the full list of compatible hardware right here: http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/mobile_apps/cubasis_le/compatible_hardware.html

    Best,
    Lars

  • @Trueyorky AU support has been there a while. This update adds AU preset support as I read it.

  • Hope they update Nanolugue app too. Pain to keep turning on the background when using it. Excellent app. Maybe even if they make it a AU too would be good.

  • Great to see this getting updated! Thanks Lars :)

  • @MusicInclusive I noticed that and the shiny new look FX modules - just shows how busy I've been lately

    Hmmm...

I appreciate alot that Steinberg regular update Cubasis...

And, Cubasis for iPad has many strong features and feels like an Pro app...

But, yes, there's a but... Why why why can't Steinberg fix the extremely irritating zoom behavior in the editor (editing MIDI-notes)??

If you put two fingers on a note and pinch out (zooming in) you expect that the specific note will be in the center of the zooming...
But, not in Cubasis... If you put two finger on the window in editing modes you can't ever control where you're going in the timeline... Grrr!

This "bug" is very very old and discussed earlier in this forum...

As previously stated, possible improvements of the zooming behaviour will be evaluated for the next Cubasis update!

Cubasis is updated on a constant basis with our user's expectations in mind.
If the behaviour can be improved in time and at manageable effort and expense we'll have it included in the next update.

    Best,
    Lars

    Hello again Lars:

As mentioned I appreciate the update and really appreciate you coming by and putting up with the occasional pies we throw at you :)

To add another drop in the accumulated bucket of user responses, the Zoom in your product is why I so rarely use it. I open it every week and love lots of the design, love the functionality, the flexibility, but this one thing (and it really is the only thing) has stopped me from making Cubasis my DAW of choice. So far.

Again, please, I am not bitching, just want to make sure that when your team is evaluating their next steps in progress they fully value how much of a tangible benefit to users intuitive and productive zoom functionality would be. I firmly believe it is biggest piece of low-lying fruit and the thing that would best leverage all the other hard work you've done so far.

Great update and +1 for hoping the zoom bug gets fixed next time.

  • Not to pile on here, but rather to inform... Yeah, the zoom in the piano roll editor is a big downer. Glad to hear 2.0 may be the thing that sorts that out.

  • Thanks for the update! Cubasis IS my daw of choice. I use it every day. I concur that the zoom feature in the midi editor is a royal pain and I'd like to add my name to the list.
Thanks for listening and thanks for such an amazing application!

  • +1 please fix the zoom bug. I mean really. Please.

  • Yes, the zooming thing should really be a top priority in my view. If you can't zoom in properly, other bug fixes appear to be relatively minor (and I'm sure they aren't)

  • Zoom fix +1

  • Thanks @Lars. Nice update.

  • The zoom issue applies to audio too, not just MIDI. It's been ignored for far too long and is the major reason I don't feel comfortable with Cubasis. A workflow killer :| :(

I think this is about as close to a consensus as I've ever seen on this fabulous-yet-can-be-contrary forum...

  • Version 2 is going to good! :-)

  • edited May 2016

Lets hope in version 2 it get fixed and also we finally get to see Folder / Group tracks.
Thanks for the update especially AU preset
