Thanks for the note. Bought the IAPs for this (studio etc), back in my young and foolish days, and had always hoped there might come an update....looking forward to having a noodle about.
Yeah, the Mic and Room modeling sounds awesome! Thanks for this cool update!
Reinstall me thinks.
Yep! Thanks for the update!!
was there a de-esser before?
I like the new version, nicely done ikmultimedia!
I bought the "Microom" app a couple of weeks ago.And now I should pay for this feature again?
Very "strange"...
Looks & sounds delicious. Thank you. Does the mic room IAP work on the iPads internal mic or does it require a proper one. Cheers.
@Schimanski @ikmultimedia my thoughts exactly! I really wish I could just restore the purchase in vocalive. Just like with the amplitube for iPad vs iPhone.
Bottom right, three horizontal bars, click: Restore in-app purchases. Worked here.
I keep checkin' this thread to see when the sassiness is gonna start :-o
sorry, the restore doesn´t integrate the mic models of the seperate mic room app.
Ah-ha. Already a mic room pro user before they brought theirs out, so pretty hard to go again sir...
I'm feeling sassy
At this time, I suggest using Audiobus to send Mic Room input into VocaLive. That said, your concern has also been relayed to the team. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words. There is a "Built-in Mic" available as Source so yes you can use your iPad's built-in mic. Results will typically be better with the other Source mics available, with iRig Mic Studio being about the best choice of the iRig mics that are available to use as Source. On the topic of iRig Mic Studio, for those interested in Mac/PC recording, we have a promotion where you get T-RackS Deluxe and Mic Room for Mac/PC free with purchase of iRig Mic Studio (and iRig Mic HD).

What does the 9.99 purchase of the mics do? Other than get me a whole slew of mics. So, I have a condenser mic for recording at home, will these mics come in handy for recording? Or are they more for live use only?
Just curious. Thanks.
You get a pack of emulated microphones which can come in handy for recording. Best (or most accurate, to be more specific) results would be if you have one of the source microphones but many have reported that they enjoy using other microphones but getting a different character/coloring from using the mic emulations in Mic Room.
Ok, thanks. I would like to get different character/coloring too. Gonna buy it.
@ikmultimedia thank you for your answer.Thatˋs the way I do it right now.The sounds are really great!!!
A transfer of "MicRoom" purchases to VocalLive and Amplitube would be much appreciated.
I haven't had a chance to try this yet. Does anyone know if this release fixes the IAA bug? Before I could only get VocaLive to work through AB, not directly in Cubasis or Auria Pro as IAA.
That issue is now fixed.
Thanks!
Also, is there a list of source mics? I see photo of several iRig mics here:
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/vocalive
I'm wondering if some other more common standard mics may be supported (SM57, SM58, etc).
i would like to see users like myself who own the MIC ROOM app should not pay for MIC ROOM in any of IK Apps , it should be automatically be unlocked in host application.
To me it comes like you paying twice. .
@ikmultimedia , you guys need to sort this out if you want people to spend money with you.
This concern has been relayed to the team.
On the iOS versions, the iRig Microphones listed plus earbud+mic, built-in mic, and other analog input are your source options. You can do what you mention on the desktop version, though, if you are interested.
You can use whatever input you'd like, it is just that the modeling is going to be more precise when you use the source mic you choose in the app. Lots of people still use Mic Room with different mics in order to get more color/grit/etc. Sometimes using a tool a bit differently than intended can provide some very pleasing results.
Let me check something first, since the one source is "other analog input" so I'll have to triple-check with other digital-connected mics. But if you have iRig PRE or something similar you can use whatever XLR mic you want.
I'll get back to you on the other USB/digital connections. Sorry about that but I want to be 100% sure (though if you have VocaLive installed you should be able to check with your specific mic directly without purchasing the additional mics).
@Flo26 - Sorry for not looping back here. When I connected a USB mic via CCK, I was able to use the Mic Room mic emulations with it too. Obviously not as accurate but definitely added great "color" and character. It will show "other analog input" in the Mic Room section but the input is definitely the digital input (as shown/verified in VocaLive settings).
In general, we have added some short videos showing a couple of the new features being used. Here is the Looper video:
@ikmultimedia
I love the update but a bit bummed that I can't use it in my setup.
Any idea as to when VocaLive will be updated to work with an iConnect Audio 4+?
