iMPC Pro update - midi mapping still not working

Just downloaded iMPC Pro 1.5.9. I still have a bug where the option to Midi Learn disappears if my Akai MPD226 controller is hooked up to it. Also, still can't map other buttons such as 16 levels or note repeat... Only the pads and variation slider.

Missing Midi Learn button:

  • I give total 10 words -> 'Don't want say a word'.

  • Still no input-monitoring when sampling audio. How hard can it be?!?

  • as it turn s out the impc pro is the culprit in the animoog iaa problem as the impc pro shuts down and has to be restarted but animoog stays where it is until the impc pro shuts down and then un freezes. :(

  • I guess that the update that just came out is evidence that retronyms are working on the issues.

Blocs Wave seems to manage it !

Don't get me wrong... I really appreciate @Retronyms increased frequency of updates. The new "MPC Midi" switch gets the old Element mappings out of way, if that is what you need. However, until you can map those buttons to your own controller, you still sort of need MPC mode to always be switched on.

  • So what's the verdict, update or not?

I wonder if this fixes the Model 15 not producing audio in IAA within iMPC PRO. Anyone tried it?

dont think it fixed anything to be honest. the volume is still like 200% too loud, the mixer fader noise is still there... i did the update and the old bugs are still there.

We just released Model 15 v1.0.3, which improves the compatibility with iMPC Pro. Please let us know this works out for you.

  • Hmm I see there's Link in it, but it's not referenced at all on apps compatible with Link or AB.
Retronyms announced that on some videos for 1.5 upgrade, but they don't mention it anywhere else, even on the app store..
Does these features works well ? (AB and Link)

  • Does these features works well ? (AB and Link)

Sorry, but 'Works well' and 'Retronym App' are incompatible man... LOL

  • It is working perfectly now!!! Thank you so much for this update. I am now able to record Moog Model 15 in iMPC Pro with no problems! LOVING IT BIGTIME!!!!

  • I don't seem to have the volume issues. But i think there is a way to adjust the volume of pads. I'm still learning how to work this app, but I think it is amazing what one can do in it now. Model 15 update really sounds beautiful recorded into iMPC PRO...

  • I wish I could say the same for animoog, it's a painful disaster!!!

  • Animmog was working for me before the update. Didn't test it, but will and report back.

  • Animoog works fine here

iaa... into impc pro?..... what are your specs?
I'm running mini 4/ latest os and get immediate crashes

  • Just did a test record, and it worked on mine as well. I'm running latest IOS 9.3.2 on an iPad Air 1.

Latest iOS latest versions of both apps, air 1
Just open animoog from inside mpc otherwise I get some issues too

  • two things, moog have been able to reproduce this and are trying to see what's up.

also I said latest os but that was a mistake, I'm on os 9.3.1 but animoog and the impc are on latest updates..

  • IPad rock solid for me on IOS 9.3.2

  • hmm i thought there were allot of reported problems with 9.3.2, maybe I'll give that a try?

  • I put iPad on airplane mode if that helps

  • i shouldn't have to do that with an iPad mini 4 should I, but I'll give that a try before I update to 9.3.2

  • nope, I can't even hit 3 keys before it freezes

  • edited June 2016

and it's only these two apps, running animoog through Aum via iaa works perfectly, as does running Nave through the impc pro it works flawlessly... strangely frustrating to say the least, another strange thing is that moog have been able to reproduce it but nobody on the forum seems to have the problem.

  • The joys of iOS!

  • maddening.... updated to 9.3.2 and no go, I usually can press 2- 3 notes before the freeze, it's actually worse now as on the first note pressed it farted and froze

  • I am on an iPad Air 1, running 9.3.2 with the latest iMPC and Animoog, not using airplane mode. I just opened up a new project, recorded in some animoog via IAA and it worked great. There were a few little pops and artifacts that I heard during the process but they did not get captured or effect the audio in any way.

I just re-installed iMPC Pro to test recording and IAA-Animoog works fine (iPad Air 2, iOS9.3.2).

I did notice a funny 'glitch' though. If Animoog is left in the IAA slot in the sample-recorder it will continues to receive Midi from iMPC Pro causing quite a havoc. Took me a while to figure out what was happening when the iMPC Pro 'pads' triggered Animoog even though midi-in was disabled in Animoog.

Anyways, hopefully someday AudioCopy will get the IAA-Sampling that is present in iMPC Pro as it's one of the better implementations of iAA-Sampling available on iOS.
