BTDubs, how come Samplr doesn't have AudioShare input?
Also, any way to load Sampler into Aum with separate channels?
Hate to be negative Nancy, but the last time the dev posted to Facebook was 3/21 and he posted this rather vague message:
"I'm working on an update with Link..."
Is this what all the giddiness is about?
Samplr gets top billing as my favorite. String mode is my absolute go-to ambient dream machine. If I had to pick but one PURPOSE for my iPad and I could use it for nothing else, I pick Samplr. I will be heartbroken if I cannot bring it into the future.
Samplr COULD have upgrades, and that's cool, and Link is super welcome, but I have had lots of hardware that never worked for me like this gem, so I just want it not to die. Hearing that it is still worked on makes me happy.
@ecamburn To quote the most famous or infamous movie line ever.
"So your saying there's a chance"
Yes that is what all this giddiness is about. Hehe
That was useful. Thanks for doing that! Most demos got a break-neck pace and don't say what they're doing. I liked your "noodling while making something" speed and casually talking about what you're doing.
Samplr still hands down the best ios app.
Here is vid i did showing Samplr (kind of) link synced by using midi sync from Patterning to Samplr
Hahaha! I always say that quote in my head!
Thank you for doing this, liked and subscribed!
@skiphunt Glad it was helpful. If any of my videos help 1 person, then it was worth my time making it. I have a buddy that always says he hates watching tutorials on youtube because most people go way to fast and start 2 or 3 steps ahead of where he is at. So he usually lost when he starts. I am not a fast talker, a generally laid back kind of guy so I guess that shows in my videos.
@fprintf Your welcome. Hope it helped and thanks for subscribing. I have had a super busy last 6 months but hopefully I can do more videos. Any suggestions let me know.
@TGiG Me as well, one of my all time favorite movies
My sentiments exactly. And yes, Marcos has been defintiely working on the update that will give us Link and more. He never promised any release date though. He's with Apple now and must be pretty busy with work. Samplr must be a passion-driven project for him so all we can do is wait this out. Let's hope it'll happen this year.
Samplr is one of the least buggy apps I own. I was going to get into a lengthy reasoning why this is so. I'm going to leave it at that.
Except for the annoying audiopaste bug, wich can be worked around with audioshare
Or by clicking on the gear in the right corner if the audio paste dialog.
@pierre @lukesleepwalker
Just like that favourite jumper without a top button that you just can't stop wearing. I find it real comfy and if it's windy I just put on a scarf instead of buttoning up.
I love it
Thanks for that. Hadn't sussed it, good to know...
Yeah but that workaround will still crash the app when you open the sample menu. Audioshare with open in is a well smooth way of doing it. Well, I like it.
