    Db909 ,

Do you know that Modstep piano roll editor is more light weighted and fast for the touch?

By my all touching experiences on all my iPad apps, Modstep piano roll pen/pencil icon is the most comfortable one without fiddling.

That is my 'statement' to support Modstep.

+1 auxy is a fun toy. But like most toys I can't really play with It too long being an adult :(

  • Im enjoying Auxy, it fills the same niche as figure and ikaossilator for me - apps that can be used while walking the dog. Seems less flexible than those two however.

So is the old iPad version obsolete now with this universal release or should I keep it around?

currently only the old ipad version has midi out. that being said with midi export on the new one i will probably only use Auxy to sketch out quick chord progressions and melodies before importing into modstep. so atleast for me personally the ipad version is obsolete lol.

(Posted on other thread but i thought i'd mention this here too)
I take back what I said about Auxy being pretty much a useless toy. It's midi export is surprisingly robust. Auxy works fantastically as a quick sketch pad that you export into mod step for more robust midi later. What's awesome is the midi file it creates opens as seperate tracks in mod step. So you can quickly reassign the melodies and chords to Iaa or au synths after importing. (Will make a video on how to export it to mod step later.)

Since mod step isn't available on a iphone it's extremely useful for when all you have is an iPhone and you want to start a new track.
