    Nuno,

Please! Give LK a background mode, I can not tune any virtual synth. When flipping to other apps, LK get interruption with no message out to other apps. It is very troublesome.

    Thank you in advance.

@Kaikoo2 you are completely right. When I developed LK I didn't use inter-app audio apps so I wasn't aware of the relevance. LK will be the focus of the next development efforts and I plan to make it inter-app audio friendly. I will write this down immediately.

  • Thanks to all the nice comments about DRC and Imaginando anniversary. I hope you are enjoying DRC and that it inspires your musical creations.

If you like DRC please rate it on the store. It really means a lot to us!

  • Will do. I really love the strings and pads that can be made with this synth...especially playing chords via Navichord. Great synth!

  • Guys, if i am beta testing, if i install the DRC showing in testflight, will it show that i have purchased it already? Or once i purchase it, can i still beta test?

Installing a beta will over-write the installed app but save all user data so it's mostly a safe procedure. You can also re-download the appstore version and it will over-write the beta and again it doesn't touch the user data but if you delete the beta user-data will be lost too.

As long as the internal patch-format doesn't change it will work just fine. (I've been doing this with all the betas and released versions without problems).

  • But when I install the beta it shows I haven't purchased the synth engine is that normal?

I clicked "stop testing" in Test Flight. Deleted my beta. Then downloaded DRC fresh, then paid the onlock of $1.99. Worked fine on ipadAir2 and iphone5. Both show it unlocked.

  • Went back to the beta as it already remembers last patch used. But anyone know how to get a patch back to factory default?

  • First thing I did when I came home was to re-download but price is up again :(

  • Thanks forum - picked this up.

I love LK so much, a highly enjoyable experience. This app is by far the most sophisticated 3D midi CC XY pad at the same time playing an arpeggiation. It is easy to pick a CC number for it. I just love this slick interface. I can not wait for the update!

I forgot to say I love DRC and Animoog or any synths through LK to midiSTEPs. My newest found midi arpeggiator sequencing approach. This is so awesome that I can design phrase slowly on midiSTEPs, all the midi patterns from LK keypad.

Bear in mind, midiSTEPs is very powerful to record back all the midi notes to Modstep later. midiSTEPs can be handled perfectly by Modstep thank to the mdiSTEPs midi connection.

LK just need some tweaks in future update to make it one of best iOS midi controller.

  • Btw, why LK and midiSTEPs approach works?

It is because midiSTEPs can listen the coming midi notes without playhead time constrain. LK has no clock, it is good matching for the two together. After several keypad trials, you can have your own LK tune recorded by midSTEPs, then loop the midiSTEPs playhead for listening your recording. Just too easy on the runs. If don't like your melody tune, just scratch it on midiSTEPs. If like it, then insert midiSTEPs to AUM IAA input, from which AUM can drive midSTEPs for audio loop. It all depends you want the midi notes recorded to Modstep or audio recorded to AUM audio loop.

Then, why the loop or midi notes sounds so awesome by this approach? It is because LK have a straight control of midi CC to synth sound, so when you play back the sound, the LK still running the modulations by XY pad automation. So your loop is very modulated in this way.

Have you deleted the app before installing the beta? Whenever this happens, choose Store and then "Restore Purchases". It should do the trick.

Hmm, this I have to try because i got mine 'unlocked' a bit differently...

Hope I have not forgotten my password to the DRC 'cloud' :D

  • I'm a huge fan of midiSTEPs (Hope it gets Link soon) and used it to sequence DRC during the initial beta-period :)

  • Midisteps is fantastic. The dev was waiting to see what ios10 would add before implementing link. Considering ios10 abandons old 32bit devices im hoping he decides to add link now coz the old devices still work fantastically as a second midi only device. And with link ? Pretty much would keep my iPad3 permanently as part of my studio even though my air2 is pretty much all I use mostly.

    @sinosoidal, @samu, @gonekrazy3000 , @soundklinik ,

This input/mute button can be changed to 'mute state' until we have desired melody keys on LK, then we change its state back to 'input state' to record any midi notes or midi notes combinations from LK back to midiSTEPs.

With this button, it has no time constrain for you insertion of midi notes that normal recording app's playhead does the push. So kind of relaxing at your speed for tuning melody.

The 'mute' can also be used to 'play live' over a recorded sequence, very effective on mono synths with portamentom/glide turned on :)

I really like the step-recording in midiSTEPs with options for rest and tie.

Since no major news were announced at WWDC'16 we can just cross our finger in hope that art's apps get Link, FunkBox is still a favourite of mine :)

OK. I'm confused. $15 to unlock synth engine. It already seems unlocked tho. Everything is accessible, what does unlock do exactly?. What am I paying for? Love the app btw

  • Who wants to test the next version of LK?

  • It's never asked me to unlock. Did I somehow luck out and get the full version for free?

  • I'm not jailbroken or anything either
