I am stumped here. Using grid mode and chord progression and i am getting unexpected results. Its like the actual progression starts 3/4 in resulting in a different rythm than what ive entered

The bottom is where ive entered the rythm. If you look above, at the output, you can see it doesnt match the entered rythm
What am i doing wrong?
Does it work as expected if you turn the progression off? I'm thinking the tempo may have been adjusted within the progression.
Yes, it works as expected without the progression but it's strange because the progression is set to the same bpm and 4/4 and it does deliver that except the actual progression starts 3/4 through the first bar
Forget senior care, I think you may qualify for a lucrative career in different drummer consulting!
Try hitting "Grab" when you load a Preset and that should become the new Return point...or turn off Return.

Just wondering what the reason was for DD no longer being able to use as a split / dual screen?
Don't get me wrong I'm not moaning about the loss. It's not been a huge deal as it's been ill thought in my opinion with the advent of AU and the 12" size iPad (too many different sizing options for devs to consider imo).

Yes it doesn't even show on the selector anymore, unless it's an iOS 10.0.2 issue

Well can't say I've encountered any other issues as yet, but Early days with iOS 10. Wonder if @funjunkie27 is on iOS 10, he probably is the man in the know

I finally got round to having a proper play with DD (after seeing this thread) and it's great.
I think I'd been intimated before.
I've only spent about an hour with it, and not looked at the manual.
But already I've figured out how to get it to send some pretty cool 4 bar patterns to Gadget - stuff I wouldn't have programmed myself.
I have no real idea what most of the buttons do, but it's actually intuitive enough to set it to a key/scale, get it sending midi out and then hit the random dice until something sounds good and interesting.
I love the note range slider on the left hand side. Brilliant for setting up for basslines vs lead patterns etc.
And it has LINK!!!! Amazing to have it perfectly in sync with Gadget.
I'm sure there's loads more to it - but it's been a really great experience for the first hour. (Once I figured out how to turn tracks on or off - the fact you tap once to select and then again to toggle on and off got me for a while).
Couple of initial questions:
can you vary the number of bars it produces (eg 2, 8 etc) or is it always 4?
does the chord progression allow you to get it to make patterns only from the notes in each chord at the relevant part of the progression?

@johnfromberkeley - I wish I could make a living in consulting!
@Matt_Fletcher_2000 - I always thought you would be a great candidate for DD! It does pair well with Gadget. You can set the number of bars from 1-64 in the grid screen, but if you load in a midi file, it seems to be unlimited. Regarding notes in the progression, yes that is the case, but you can also assign scales, rather than chords, including chromatic.
@Fruitbat1919 - I'm still on 9.3....a bit gunshy to go to 10 on an iPad4 and mini2.
@jn2002dk - I'll try to look at this tomorrow and see if I can offer anything.

'return after' has a bug/feature of grabing various elements. It makes a cool performance tool where edits snap back at the determined number of bars. The graphics don't update though, if they did this would definitely be a feature not a bug. Peter..?
BTW...if you use the Measure Stepper instead of the Slider you can excede the 64 measures...but I found a bug where the slider doesn't set the stepper value when so it can go back to the value when the panel first appeared when you use the two together. So set the slider then change panels and then back to grid panel to use the stepper.
@Matt_Fletcher_2000—Welcome aboard! Yeah, I made it so you can go to a voice and change its settings before toggling it on for max control of performance. However, you can swipe your finger on the button and release outside to instantly toggle it. Enjoy the button discover...they all make sense, eventually ;-) That's what happened with 4 years of constant development.

I haven't been able to reproduce your problem @jn2002dk . Can you upload this in the DD community?
Also, the DD dev created a nice little chat app called DrawnIn, that pairs with DD quite nicely. You can get notifications of new uploads and get feedback from Peter directly on any issues you might have.
Tried to but the app wont let me register. It just deletes name and country fields and tells to fill all fields
What happens if you do the steps i described?
Same issue for me with deleting those fields, haven't been able to register.
Hopefully @technemedia can chime in. I've been registered many versions ago and don't recall any problems.
I'm not seeing a timing issues when going through the steps, it is in 4/4. I'm on iOS 9.3.

Done! My DD name is jn2002dk and it's my only preset. It's called ProgressionRythmBug
