news apps coming soon?
it's been kind of slow I. the iOS app world. Anybody know of any new apps coming soon. Moebius lab from Amazing noises in coming, very soon and is fantastic.
Any body have any others?

So many apps have 'pending' updates or almost completely new versions around the corner and the wait is driving me nuts. But if the 'load' of new apps is huge I may have to go on a cleaning spree on my 64GB iPad Air 2...
CNN? BBC? Fox?
Cubasis 2.0 and Synthmaster AU these are the ones I'm (im)patiently waiting for
Derreck Buddymeyer's Drum Session app was about ready for Beta testing in May so with any luck that should not be much further off.
synthmaster Au ? ooo that sounds awesome!
yeah do you know which ones specifically? I have money in my iTunes account, and am ready to shell it out. lol
Dagger, Monique & AB3.
what are these, instruments or effects?
2 synths and one heck of a utility ...
I was starting to feel slightly feverish, after a self-imposed app buying ban that lasted about three weeks, until I bought Voxsyn over the weekend. It's helped, but I'll only recover fully once I've bought Möbius.
I'm just waiting for an app where you enter one note then it randomises a synth sound then a scale, then an arrangement, then some automation, then some drum patterns then some mixing..... with nice graphics and a fully illustrated manual and Youtube tutorial.... at an introductory price.
Hoping for a Xynthesizr update this year.
I'm waiting for the next version of Cubasis if there is one. I was going to upgrade Auria but it looks like there are a lot of bugs to be worked out.
I think I've had enough news in the last week.
Cubasis 2.0? Will it be a whole new cubasis? I'm pretty damn happy with it as is.
Lars, over at the Cubasis forum, has said it will be a free upgrade for existing customers. Bring it on, I say.
Although I agree it's a really solid sequencer/daw as is. And I hope the new features don't come with new bugs and problems. I rather have a lean and mean stable sequencer to work with.
Free is mostly good...
Hope they fix the bugs in the piano-roll editor too.
Like the velocity edits that are not 'effective' unless playback is first stopped and re-started.
So as it is today any adjustment to note-velocities while Cubasis is playing has no effect util playback is stopped and re-started.(I noticed this while trying to adjust note-velocities while a song was playing).
There are a few issues that remain to be fixed and they are on the back-log as I've understood it
@brambos free is good! I'm a noob to cubasis. I haven't noticed much in terms of bugs. let's all hope for abelton link!
It's pretty excellent.
I'm hoping for better MIDI resolution (I believe PPQ is still at 48), more insert slots for AU effects, folder organization in the Media Bay and an improved piano roll editor. Also I think they can reduce the amount of taps that it takes to do certain things.
@sirdavidabraham Have you noticed some difficulties using the master clock in cubasis as a host? I may be implementing the wrong technique, but it seems like everything gets all fumbled. The tempo begins to fly off the wall. Maybe it'll get a tempo lock feature? Would link solve that issue? Possibly I am being a bit ambitious to send the master clock out to a network session, but I was bored at 3 am. I wanted to give it a shot.
I've just deleted 50 music apps. If new stuff comes, it will have to be top notch as I just have too many options now
Cubasis is sitting there tantalizingly at 1.9.9, with better zooming and control of the piano roll looming. Plus, maybe Padshop as an IAP? Honestly I'd be happy if 2.0 just fixed the piano roll.
I got it with the Yamaha mixer i swapped for one of my interfaces on Memorial Day sale weekend/Moog weekend. Glad they gave me the mobile version to activate. Damn good daw IMHO.
That's nice when you get the mobile version for free when you buy a piece of hardware. Usually it's just the desktop version.
My biggest gripe with Cubasis is trouble syncing some apps to it. I've been away from iOS for a while so maybe it's better. Also I have to check out this AUM everyone is talking about. Does it help with sync or is it just a mixer?
not something I've attempted. I haven't been that ambitious yet also implementing Link could be a challenge without real time audio stretching functionality in Cubasis
@mkell424 you can route an audio bus input into AUM (Moog model 15) for example then open it as a stereo IAA port in cubasis which syncs midi thru as well as midi clock routing. It helps in more ways than just a mixer, and is a really well thought out piece of software. @sirdavidabraham true, but we can hope. We can hope... lol.
I find myself checking daily if Cubasis 2.0 has gone live. This due to learning a key workaround, (thanks again, @sirdavidabraham!) I do love me some clip launch style composition (Modstep! The end of the iOS rainbow for me), but there is also something so productive about a linear timeline with butter smooth IAA track recording, freezing, chopping and saving to media bay.
I really hope Cubasis has a dual keyboard with separate midi channel outs or assignable.
@Tones4Christ err > @Tones4Christ said:
Care to elaborate on what that means? Dual keyboard on an iPad. It does have seperate outs if you are running an interface with seperate midi controllers, or just using AUM in the iaa slot for port one port two,or three, four five, six, seven, with sound prism/any midi controller on the market
