Here is a free code for whoever gets to it first

I already own it! Its sooo different from any other synth I own, it's awesome.
Wow. And thanks.
Yes definitely unique set of features. Love randomly adjusting stuff as more than alot of synths every parameter seems to have a significant effect on the sound
No problem, enjoy
Too late... Perhaps an other one?
Gave all codes I had away in competition post I had up, sorry
nice one - even features the color scheme of the 8 bit ZX-Spectrum computer on which the developer started ages ago...
cheers, Tom
My favorite synth. Can't think other with such full and rich sound in iOS. The good news is that the dev is responsive and it will get an update. Not soon but it will.
Is it just me or is the only issue with this amazing app the MIDI channel isolation?
Much like Thor, it has no filter of channel selection functionality?
I tried using MIDI bridge and MIDI bus but couldn't get it to only receive 1 channel of MIDI.
BTW: Red Sky's are my favorite presets. For the most part I always do my own on every synth, but, this one I figured why bother his were so good.
Is that app abandoned?
The site has been same for 2 years.
This is the main flaw of Zed. It listens to all sources but there is a bug and Zed listens to all midi channels (omni) always, regardless settings.
@RustiK
Back-burnered hopefully, rather than abandoned. As noted elsewhere on the forum (@RedSkyLullaby noted here: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/250795/#Comment_250795
skills shown off in ZedSynth had gotten the dev a gig with a cool music software co., when I emailed him about some IAA stuff at the time, the job involved 12 hour work days if I recall correctly. Dev made an appearance here on the forum around that time too https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/192425/#Comment_192425
Thanks @RedSkyLullaby for bumping the synth with your post and giveaway, this is a gem that I'd taken off my device when I'd become frustrated with midi connectivity.
Having now reinstalled it, (y'alls fault) midi connectivity via IAA seems workable, (maybe because I've changed hosts, or learned some workarounds) Modstep, Cubasis both are playing nice with El Zed, with some minimal accommodation
Good notes Mister. V. Interested to see how Roli benefits from his efforts...
Really liking it in the little time I've spent so far. Trying to figure out a way to improve the navigation. Would a collapsible UI like in Thor work better? Or just common page buttons at top?
Maybe I just need more time with it.
The synth overview tab is where you navigate from. Just click on any part of the signal flow. It's a lot better than scrolling the pages
Thanks for sharing information about this gem. After watching some videos I picked it up. Love that it can be used as an effect in Audiobus. There's lots to explore and experiment with in this app.
Add myself to the chorus of thanking for raising interest about this really great app. Besides, I'm in love with the video, where pops up how much the dev knows about programming and DSP
Diggin it myself courtesy of RedSky.
Dang, does RedSky have a way with creating stellar presets for these apps or what?! Consistently, RedSky's presets are my favorites in all the apps I have that he's blessed with content.
Yeah kind of like excel tabs almost
Thanks. I sometimes think I spend more time making sounds than music.
I'll have a free sound pack coming out on 99sounds soon also, will post it when it's out
Likely, but those sounds you make obviously evolve into some excellent music too. You seem to be quite skilled at striking just the right balance in your compositions. I plan on spending more time with your latest release once I get home to better connectivity and better cans than I'm traveling with.
So far, from what I can tell, you seem to get a fuller sound and less thin than most of the iOS efforts out there. Are you mastering it youself?
Kudos.
Yes I do my own mastering. Is only bit that is non ios. I do on mac mini using TRacks.
that's what 'mastering' is supposed to be about: add a certain kind of polish which extends the original 'soundprint' AND set levels properly - not just make a mix louder.
IOS apps tend to have a rather clear and bright sound, which is nice on it's own.
But it's often not the full spectrum - the difference is subtle, yet noticeable quite well.
FinalTouch (if used correctly) will most likely do a good job on an typical PC/Mac only mix.
For an IOS based track it's likely to be just too much icing on the cake
Think 'complement' instead of concurrancy - and LISTEN... your ears are the most powerful mastering tool.
cheers, Tom
Interesting. I've never thought to use Final Touch on my Mac mixes, I'll give it a try. Fully agree that FT tends to overwork upon what comes from AUM or Auria, or whatelse. Mastering (the app )is a bit more subtle, IMO
How does Zed compare to Tera synth?
I don't have Tera, I think similar in amount of stuff going on but Tera more Modular in terms of routing etc
great synth. but having trouble getting audio to process through when ising it as an effect. I can get audio to go through, but i cannot get the filter, or any of the other effects to actually process the incoming audio. im sure im missing something simple. anybody have any tips?
Do you open Zed first or the INPUT?
i tried it both way. same result. i hear audio going through Zed, and can see it moving visual displays withing zed. but when i move a cutoff on the filter or move dry wet knob on reverb or delays, the audio stays unchanged. is there somewere i have to activate the effects to allow audio to pass through then?
Im really impressed with ZedSynth. Thanks RSL for the gift. It feels a bit like NI Massive to me, all the mod options for what seems like every dial. Im only on the iPhone at the moment, cant wait to try it on an iPad. Lets home we never have to say Zed's dead. Im loving it!
