Anyone else having serious trouble adjusting the knobs? Especially fine tuning. I'm finding it impossible. And no double tap to reset to zero value. I'm at the point where I can't use it. I don't see any sensitivity setting. Lifting the finger always screws up the setting. And moving the finger away slightly from the knob while adjusting will cause it to jump around.

    Anyone else?

Yes. They are difficult to fine tune. If you double tap they change to fixed values which is handy ,but you can easily screw up the values when moving the finger ,to see the knob position.

  • It was the first "expensive" app I ever bought.
    And well worth.
    Rich and unique sounds.

How does Zed compare to Tera synth?

I don't have Tera, I think similar in amount of stuff going on but Tera more Modular in terms of routing etc

Ok, thanks. I like Tera, it's very capable but it's UI is a bit confusing. Zed looks more user-friendly to me (at least, in those youtube videos)

I'm finding them difficult to adjust...period. Not just fine tuning. Could it be my small mini screen? It seems to be a poor design with the value shown in the center of the knob and the requirement of the finger to remain over top of it (making it hard to see where the knob is positioned.
Similar problem while using the keyboard/mod wheel. If you move your finger slightly while adjusting the modwheel, you can turn on 'hold' or move the keyboard up/down an octave.

Should be able to touch a control then move finger away to adjust without activating any other controls. Like in every other app I own.

that's interesting: from a video I guessed that tip-hold-move vertical does full steps, while horizontal movement adjusts fine steps.... kind of switching gears

    cheers, Tom

I was finding them difficult to adjust too, until I just read this. Now MUCH easier. Thanks!

  • Am I missing something or do the LFOs always reset when a new note is played? I prefer truly free LFOs which do their own thing whatever I play.

For example if a note sequence is playing I like the cutoff to vary slowly over 8 bars. I can't do this ATM. I know lots of synths don't let you do this but my favourites do.

I'm loving this on the iPad. No problems here with fine tuning, just a slightly different way of doing it as explained above.

  • I wonder why so few devs adopt a solution like that in Thor for the knobs. Those white lines with values removed from fingertip work really well for me. It would be a bless in Auria, e.g.

It s a great synth i agree ! For an independant dev it' s really well done .
