  • These two are time limited, so get in there, first is soundtoys tremolator and autogate, when you need a tremolo or any sort of warble, this one is fully featured, can be used as a trance gate too, as you can draw in your own wobble, valid until 30th november. Will need an free ilok account but not the dongle.

    https://www.soundtoys.com/product/tremolator/

Next is an old classic from waves, multitap delay, can set the taps, volume and rotation yourself or link them to tempo, has an basic eq for each tap so you can sculpt It to your liking, will need a waves account and register your email, not 100% sure when this runs out, my guess would be a few days.

  • Few more things I'd thought to mention, first off is airwindows again as chris has been putting out a lot of useful simple tools for both mac and pc. My favs of late have been pyewacket, very nice compressor, thunder, nice buss compressor with a round bottom end and tone slant which I find useful for dealing with annoying hi-frequency stuff.

    http://www.airwindows.com

Also focusrite has put the last four freebies back up till the end of the year, you'll need an account with them and the software ilok for some of the plugs, but there are some fantastic tools and flavours in that bunch.

    Positive grid bias fx le
    Soundradix surfer eq boogie
    Eventide 2016 stereo room
    Izotope ddly dynamic delay

    https://uk.focusrite.com/plugin-collective

And last up is kvr's developers challenge, downloaded a few to have a play, not tried everything yet, some useful plugs and utilities to be had. Couple I like are snarebuzz by wavesfactory, just added aax support, roth air, used subtlety and siren, dub siren synth.

    http://www.kvraudio.com/news/kvr-developer-challenge-2016---41-entries---download-and-vote-now-35537

Also while on kvr, if you turn off your ad blockers there are these plugimon banners that pop up, along the sides or at the bottom of the page, from don't crack. You can win plugins and vouchers, spent around half and hour t'other day and got everything a few times over, they pop up often.

So far I've seen, from plug and mix, analoger a tape and tube emulator, vinylizer, crackle and pop emu. Other two were, as state eq, ssl emu and analog trackbox, vintage channel strip. Out of those I like analoger and as state eq, this is also running on other sites like bpb.

That's a little gem, been playing around with it, quite smooth sounding, glad they included a mix control.

Another good one that has popped up is a useful utility called track control, I especially love the hpf, choose slopes between 6-48db/oct, starts at 1hz which I don't see often. The width control also sounds very nice, although it's easy to push it as the range of it is quite, how much. Playing with the mid and side pan, but the side pan doesn't seem to be working, or I might be doing something wrong, had the sides solo'ed using another plug and there didn't seem to be any movement from left to right.

Apart from that tho, find this a handy tool, need to sign up for an account and download the license file from your user area, this cat makes a limiter that is beyond words, so dangerous it comes with its own cage, shit I'm starting to sound like a used car salesman.

  • Ikmultimedia are doing a time limited offer for one week, ends 17th of january, if you download the free amplitude custom shop and register it, you get the british invasion bundle for free, was €60. If you already have amplitude custom shop, it should be in your account, 3x amps, 3x cabs and a fuzz pedal, sound of the 60's so they say, lsd is extra.

    http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/news.php?id=797

  • There is a great offer atm, but you need to have a novation launchpad pro or one of there keyboards, or a focusrite soundcard. If you have any of those you can choose an instrument from the xln addictive keys range for free.

If you have both a focusrite soundcard and a novation controller you can grab two instruments, one for each account. I got two as I still have my old novation remote sl37, which I didn't see listed, so check your account if you ever registered an old controller and you might have a code waiting.

This is a limited time thing though and I don't know when it runs out, think you need one of their products for this offer. I got the studio piano and the mark one, both sound fantastic to my ears, was testing the mark one against the vintage electric piano in logic and velvet from air. Vintage electric had a similar soundstage but didn't sound as good, velvet sounded a lot thinner, but I like the fx on it.

  • Sweet home alabama, as a quartet of plugins graces the collection today, one however comes with conditions, that need to be met.

First is a time limited offer from ikmedia, for one week only, feast your ears on a very tasty opto compressor. You'll need to download t-racks custom shop, or if you have it, should be in your account, runs out 16 feb.

    http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/news.php?id=813

Next on the menu is a crunchy geetar amp, worked wonders on some hairless drums I was working on the other day, on a parallel bus, you have to register for an account and download a plugin chooser thingy-ma-jig.

    https://blackroosteraudio.com/products/item/cypresstt-15.html

Onto a stealth reverb, based on a secret nsa spying tower in berlin, used this the other day and found it had great front to back depth, I'm a bit hit and miss with verbs, but like this one, especially reverb type 4&6, yes that's a secret code to my pigeons. Might also be worth checking out the free ir's too.

    http://www.balancemastering.com/blog/balance-audio-tools-free-teufelsberg-reverb-plugin/

Last we come to the plug with conditions, the catch being you need a focusrite soundcard, but if you have one, you'll be bestowed with a fantastic chorus, syntorus from d16, this rescued a sound at mine the other day, that was drowning in a lake of pads, so for me it's a hero.

    https://uk.focusrite.com/plugin-collective

  • Thanks for posting, @mister_rz. I've already plundered this booty except for the NSA thingy-ma-jig, and I already paid for the Opto. :'(

If you're able to take advantage of the d16 chorus, you can also get their Frontier limiter for free.

I've heard good things about the TT-15. It's an emulation of the Tiny Terror 15 watt tube amp.

I already had the ik opto too, from a bundle, didn't use it until recently, played with it for a bit and moved it into my fav compressors folder, do like the comps from ik. Didn't like the tt-15 either at first, then I messed around with it on a parallel bus and it bought a smile to my face.

Thanks for posting this up, 20gb:) I grabbed it last year think it was 16gb worth of stuff, if you come across any more good sound libraries, there is a thread that's like this one for samples and stuff, maybe post it in there too, just incase anyone misses it in here.

  • Few more goodies floating around the web in freeware land, first is a subtle kick enhancer, tried it on a few kicks the other day, really worked well on one getting lost in the mix. Sounds better in the mix then when solo'd, just adds a nice bit of weight without added to much to your gain, once you've dialled it in.

    https://www.wavesfactory.com/product/sk10/

Then there is an analog inspired filter, just a basic low and hi cut filter, I've not tried this yet just about to download, but like some of their other stuff, so looking forward to this.

Finally a harmonic pictures to midi tool, cdm had an article up about it t'other day might be worth a look for experimental dabblers and members who like to get loaded and sit in front of their screens giggling at random things, here's the cdm article.

  • Two really good freebies this time of a vintage flavour, one with a modern twist, I present to thee some sonic goodness.

First up is a time limited one, free till november 22, soundtoys little plate, based off the emt 140, covers most formats aax, au, vst, etc and for mac and win, only downside you'll need an ilok account, but don't need the dongle.

    http://www.soundtoys.com/product/little-plate/

Finally tube saturator 1 has gone free, sounds nice and thick but is really thirsty on the cpu, covers most formats, mac and win, direct download, no ilok required.

    http://wavearts.com/products/plugins/tube-saturator-vintage/

  • Thanks Mr RZ.

This is a great reverb - SLOO, and now works with Reaktor Player (you don't need the full version): http://timexile.com/2017/08/21/sloo-now-built-for-reaktor-player/

Not sure if this works with other DAW's, but I use it with Maschine without any issues. You have to sign up to his newsletter, but I like his stuff anyway so for me that's a bonus.

  • @MonzoPro

Tims stuff is excellent, one program you might be interested in and other members too, if you haven't already got it, is an app called paulstretch, is an extreme time stretching standalone app, but it sounds fantastic. Doesn't work on everything I've fed it, but is great for experimental stuff, drones, soundbeds etc.

Working version I use for mac is here.

    http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Audio/PaulStretch.shtml

Someone has made a new version that supports mac, windows and linux on kvr, downloads are at the top of the thread.

Ooh cool thanks - I used to use that quite a lot a few years ago, it’s an incredible thing. I’ll check out the new version.

Yeah I’ve got my eye on a couple of Tim’s apps I don’t have, some are included in Komplete and they’re brilliant so I want them all!

EDIT: The download is going so slow. I want my free 20gigs of sounds right now, this instant! Ok I’ll be patient...

One of my other favourite haunts is the Reaktor Community Library, full of the most amazing free stuff, but some of it - like this one: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/reaktor-community/reaktor-user-library/entry/show/9029/ have been hammering my CPU and GPU like crazy.

Sing it brother. Love that stuff too. Not experimental, but Chet Singer's stuff is as good as many commercial plugs IMO.
