  • Hey folks,

I've searched a bit and can't seem to find out: Will the Launchpad app send its midi clock signal out through an iConnectMIDI 2 and into a TC Electronic Ditto X4 for loop syncing? Thanks!

It sends its clock out to a circuit no problem via USB, can't comment on the iConnectMIDI though as I don't have one.

Don't forget you need the Midi Sync output IAP for the LP App

Thanks for the quick response! I did see how it connects to the Circuit with USB, but here's to hoping it also sends through an iConnect>Ditto X4 (5-pin connection)! Anyone else?

  • As far as I've seen Launchpad sync clock allow you to choose 1 output.
IconnectMidi has an editor to remap and share midi signals, might dig in that way.
Midivision will help you track midi signal, maybe as your external device that might be working, or show you some signal entrance, and sync.
Some third apps (some drum machines) may redirect the clock received to somewhere else, so also to your sound card.
Ultimate solution is to get Midiflow or Midibidge, create a pipe and redirect the clock.
Modstep can also does that (emulate the pipes and redirect the clock where you want it)
    Lots of possibilities here.

Will love to have Bloc projects open-up in Launchpad (Zip files what ever)...
Bought these two app a few days ago.. and can not put down Bloc...

Edit... And BTW... What's up with just stereo export with Launchpad... We need multiple track export......... Please...
    Thanks..

  • @Launchpadforios A standard reverb would be really useful. Clip launchers struggle with clips that have reverb, because transitions don't go smoothly. Would be great to have the ability to add and adjust reverb per channel on this app.

  • Can I get Launchpad to drive RuisMaker FM under AUM. Just tried what I thought were the right settings, and no joy.

Derp, forgot there was a delay effect, which helps transitions go a little smoother (honestly haven't used Launchpad much at this point). Still wouldn't mind seeing a reverb effect though!

Have to say also, really liking the new color options. Makes a big difference, to me at least.

  • Another vote for adding a reverb and a pitch shifter would be welcome too. The launchpad delay is outstanding, would love to see it as a standalone app.

    Great, for live performers. Not much, for those of us who have been asking and asking and asking for _ages _that you;

Arrange for the sharing of samples packs between Launchpad and Blocs Wave
Add the ability to change key per individual bank in Blocs Wave.
    Reverse samples.

Are any of these things even on the road map?

The first one is, or so it was hinted at in a verbal conversation with a Novation person. I wish I didn't have to slather on so many disclaimers, but in my line of work, it's very bad juju to misrepresent folks. :)

Yes, I believe that progress is being made.

  • I picked up a launchpad recently and it makes the app extremely fun to use. It would be amazing if blocs wave could be triggered by the launchpad, with a function button for switching between controlling blocs or launchpad. You could be tweaking patterning for example on your iPad while triggering sounds from both novation apps in the background via the hardware

and (if possible) having a way to control the app using the launchkey/launchpad hardware controllers without having to have the app open in the foreground first. Having to switch to/foreground the app on the ipad to launch clips kinda limits the usefulness of having clip launchers on the midi controller IMO. A workaround if this is an unavoidable IOS problem would be to add audiobus remote triggers... anyhow, thanks for the update (especially Link in the last version)!

I run LP app in background while using the LP hardware with no problems.....I am on iPad not iPhone, so maybe this is specific to iPhone.

Hi Andy; sorry I missed your reply until now- I'm using the Launchkey 25 Mk1 with an IPad, and what I'd really like to do is use the pads for launching clips whilst the Launchpad software is in the background, but have a synth on screen so I can adjust the synth parameters whilst playing, but I can't get it to work. It seems that the hardware pads will only launch clips/light up if the LP app is foregrounded... but in that case I could just as easily launch them on the touchscreen!

It could be I've just missed something here but at the moment it doesn't look possible, with my hardware at least (Launchkey 25 Mk1 keyboard).
