A general plea for multiple audio outs

  • 'Easy' & 'Hard' is a biased definitions.

What is super difficult for one person is peanuts for another and what is peanuts for one person is another persons hell. Expecting every app to do everything is an unreachable utopia.

I start my 'process' in either Cubasis or Gadget or in some cases Beatmaker 2 and work from there and I don't feel it limits my creativity at all. On the other hand starting with apps that pretend to do it all drive me nuts...

For my workflow the ability to record separate audio files per track (rather than separate outs) would work fine. Having 3-4 busses rather than a separate out for every track would also work for my case. A third option could be the Figure/Samplr option. Allow users to record performances of gui parameters and using channel mutes, users can record channels one at a time. IMO these could be workable options if multiple outs are a pain in the keester to implement.

@Samu I'd hoped to use Beathawk like that (like launchpad ) but in my experience Beathawk doesn't handle user loops very well. Hopefully that will be improved in the next update.
