Hmm, do you have Jazzy B (Trevor Beresford Romeo) in your collection? Haven't heard much from him in a while, and would like to.

...I'd probably get more music done. Many have said this and while it's true, it's not in a negative way. I have almost (that's almost) as much fun talking & reading about music, gear and recording than I do making music, with gear and recording.

Great community, great musicians & producers. I appreciate it for sure and it's always loaded on a tab in the Chrome app on my Galaxy S6.

I hear that, I'm trying to limit my online presence in the hope of avoiding distractions to creative production but I can't help but be drawn in by such an enthusiastic and helpful community.

I'm working my way to leaving lurker mode and providing my own insights and feedback on the (sometimes relentless) stream of great apps released.

I've been 'music' making since my Acorn Electron could produce a note (really wanted a Model B but ... poor), not looked back.

Nice to see more 'old hands' on board :) I wanted a Model B too, but ended up with ZX81 LMAO

  • this forum is a godsend
I wouldn't know how to do half of what I know without it. I also wouldn't know where to begin separating the wheat from the chaff with regard to app selection.

ZX81 was my first peice of hardware, my dad made a wooden frame to hold the RAM pack in place (the blu-tack solution wasn't cutting it!).

It started my love with computing and then music making when I moved to the Electron and then Atari ST with the blessed built-in MIDI ports and a sampler cartridge.

And somehow I've made a living from software engineering ever since ... Not musical but enough to pay the bills.

I am truly grateful for the advances in music making tech, we live in good times.

Same here, ZX81 was my education in cmputers and programming and provided me with a career too :)

I got bored with the burning looting raping shooting lifestyle and moved into the finance industry.

Still very, very metal though. ;)

I'm feeling truly humbled and honoured as I'm just a passionate iOS 'geek' :)

Being a tech-geek has it's downsides too as it may make me seem like a 'pushy' & 'arrogant' person.

One of the reasons I've been a bit 'pushy' about implementation of standard iOS features is that I see them as midway-solutions to the issues we're all having regarding file-sharing between apps, document management etc.

The same 'geek-thinking' applies to AU-X and the way it will enable us to do more...

@Samu has something that is called Sisu in Swedish...
As I recall you've gotten some Finnish blood in your near family?

Me too is grateful for many users here that have so nice approach to the bunch of people that is less fortunate in knowledge ;-)

All in the palms of our hands, too.

No one here ever squabbles over music. In that we are united. There are many different styles and approaches represented, many different levels. All working in their own ways.

I'd guess at roughly a third who post are skilled old school musicians, using real world instruments, another third are accomplished creative techies, and the final third are sonic dabblers. The best thing about this mix, is that we can all learn from and sometimes be inspired by one another.

I'm probably somewhere straddled between that first group and that third group. And could not agree more. I've learned LOTS from the champs. I feel lucky to have tapped into it, and I'd be lying if said I didn't think the knowledge I've taken from them didn't come close to the knowledge I've shared. But still, even though we have some truly naturally talented lifers here, I've nicked my fair share of inspiration and helpful info from folks who would listen to my music and wonder which of the support beams in the room they're sitting in they could knock out that would make the roof collapse on them and end their misery the quickest. This is a sacred place n my world. One of the few. I do not take it for granted for a minute, even if I don't contribute as much as I should. Fortunately it would appear that this special little place thrives on the idea that it doesn't matter if you think you suck, if you think you are amazing, if you think you have more to learn, or in many cases, a combination of all of those, it's the common pursuit that binds us.

    Very envious people too..
