    Big Boy likee...

  • Now all we need is Animoog AU-X :)
    (Sorry could not resist).

  • Lots of Apple Pencil stuff, that might be interesting... Will try later

  • And now i remember Animoog is not universal. No update for iPhone version :(

  • Cool, octave transpose! Very nice!

Left and Right tapping next to the scale slider will now transpose octave...

for some reason this makes me very happy. For the feature yes, but mostly for the notion that Moog has someone actively saying "how can we make this (great) keyboard interface even better?" and then doing so. I love it.

thankfully all the patches are. buy once, and copy using iFunbox

  • Looks like great update, although this sounds a bit scary:

Settings are now saved immediately when changes occur

Or is it just me ?

  • Yay!! Oh wait.... No Animoog iPhone update?!? :-(

they've stolen the feature from Model 15

nope, sounds scary to me too. I don't think I'll like this. I often go down a path I don't like and need to find my way back to the original preset.

Not sure what they mean. Just completely changed a preset (without saving) then changed to another preset. Changing back to the changed preset and it was back to normal. No changes were saved.

Im sure it's probably just saving where you left off when opening the app, meaning if you save manually as a new preset, you can just load that back up. I'd be really surprised if it overwrites your manually saved patch.

thanks. that sounds right, would be the more obvious use. Or if you have a crash, the previous state will be recalled.

I want to support Moog for continuing to refine this monster: which expansion packs would you recommend? (I mainly create folk rock, blues rock, and "soundtrack" stuff, but have a weakness for cool arp sounds, lush pads, and anything massive). Thanks!

Being as objective as one can be, The Monster Moog is the best (I think that's what it's called...whichever is the most expensive pack on the store).

My next two personal favs are the Grateful Dead pack (a varied collection of voice and all the band's instruments) & the Acoustic pack (which has my favorite timbres I've used so far in the reverse IR Harmonic Flutes).

  • How's the vintage synth (not effects) and metallic packs. Those are the only ones I've yet to buy. Wondering if the vintage synth pack can get straight 80s and if the metallic would be good for maybe heavy rock riffs.

The vintage synth can easily get straight 80s. There's even an arena rock polysynth preset right out of the box. I've only used the metallic for bell-like sounds, which I think Animoog excels at.

  • Base Pack ftw! ;)

Doesn't the base pack come with it?

It was more or less an april fools pack of fart sounds. So good!

  • Don't knock the BASE pack, You can make some really weird shit with it beyond farts. I have a "demons left you a voicemail" patch I made with some of the timbres.

Nerds. I never fully paid attention to that. God.

  • @Tovokas
You can't go wrong with any of the packs. Personally my least favorite is the MiniMoog D one, but others like that.

    @db909
Both are good. Here's an old recording of both the Vintage FX and Vintage Synths packs (second half is Vintage Synth)

    'Metallic' is bell type sounds:

This means that the application settings (not the presets) are saved immediately instead of at distinct points later on (for instance application going to background). It essentially means that when you change any of the settings in the Setup panel, you're certain that they'll persist after an application restart even if you force-quit the app.

  • @MoogMusicInc is the iPhone version getting an update or just maintenance for the foreseeable future?

  • Thanks for clearing that up @MoogMusicInc

  • @MoogMusicInc ,
You are incredible. Improving this app unexpectedly making it even better, is wow. Great job, great example for others.
