Yes, I've noticed it takes a lot more concentration visually, when tweaking music apps via the screen than using traditional hardware controls - so I think you're spot on there. When I listen back to one of my live Aum jams it invariably sounds less impressive than I remember, as I guess I'm not listening as closely as I should be, and instead making sure my giant fingers are connecting with the right tiny onscreen controls.
