  • There is a video demo at the above link. Click on the LoopyTunes support tag. I quite like the look of it- esp the crossfade your sessions part.

  • And it hats link Support

  • That cross fader looks nice. Anyone know what midi controller support means?

  • The app is amazing!

It is like HOOK but on AUDIOBUS!!

Developer is cool as hell and very talented.

    What kind of MIDI support?

  • How many loops come with it and is it 1.99 for each additional 20 loops as an IAP?

  • The app has a basic midi controller support implementation. So far, I've only created a controller mapping for the Midifighter Twister. It's really easy to add controller mapping files, and I'm happy to implement them if they are popular requests.

  • The app comes with about 90 loops, and you can audition the entire online loop library for free, before deciding to purchase them.

  • Can you bring in your own loops? I was so so excited for the Spotify import on Hook, but it turned out to be a random 30 seconds for whatever track you chose. Which I get, but which is not the same thing as choosing your own loops....

  • You can bring in your own loops via Audiopaste or iTunes

If you add Audioshare for import and ability to create and name folders* for imported samples you are THE best.
General Midi assign for triggering, scenes, etc...so it can be used with any controller**

*missing in some big name loopers... ;)
** not allowed in same big name loopers. :/

There is a nice video of what it is capable, nothing like the one snap shot in App Store.
    And changing pitch with keyboard...nice

AudioShare is the Hit, pls add
    Nobody use audiopaste ...

  • There is a link at the bottom of the app store demo/support page to send questions etc.

Must be the only one. While I would like AudioShare, audiopaste is still a thousand miles further down the road than itunes....

100% agree on both of these. I could probably live with AudioPaste for a little while but AudioShare is just so key to my workflow. MIDI CC learn for triggering loops is essential--MIDI learn for effects would be over the top cool. The interface for live use is the best I've seen yet--nicely done, @sonicreef !

i'm there with you Johnny. I still use audiopaste as well. :)

  • ACP! Keeps iSequence alive on my device, used to be the make or break for a music app in the pre-AB days. It remains one of AudioShares doorways to apps without direct AS sharing.

  • I'll look into Audioshare.

can you elaborate on what you mean with General Midi assign, and why it's not 'allowed' in big name loopers?

  • How hard would MIDI learn be? If not, can you expose the MIDI mapping you used for midi fight twister?

  • I attached the midi fighter twister mapping. It's a simple xml file with pad maps and slider maps

  • MIDI learn is not really hard, it's a matter of adding a slick UI to do it.

I was talking a shot at Novation/Focusrite, their 2 products: Launchpad and blocks waves don't let you create folders and use your own controller. You have to use a Novation Launchpad series hardware to control Launchpad...Can you imagine if every company did that? You'd have to have a dozen of controllers each for specific app...lol

By general midi I meant standard midi CC....and midi learn for functions...I use my controller, twist a pot, midi learn, bingo.

I would like to see the Faderfox Controller. I have the PC4.

    Thank you.

Thanks for this, but it doesn't look to work with MIDI CC's, eh?

yes, it does. When you look at the section, you'll see a bunch of lines looking like this:

Channel is the midi channel, starting at 1
    Index is the Controller CC
Map is the Looptunes parameter it maps to
Toggle specifies whether or not this controller is used to toggle a parameter. You'll see those further down at the section. The midifighter uses CCs for it's button 'presses' for example.

yea, it supports midi CC, no midi learn (yet).

I'll look into that one. It seems similar to the midifighter twister to some extent. I'll have to create the mapping blindly, since I don't have one of those controllers, but I can try.

OK, must be something wrong with my MIDI setup.

More distressingly right now: I'm getting crackles and pops when I import my own samples. Will email you directly about it. Thx.
