The app has a basic midi controller support implementation. So far, I've only created a controller mapping for the Midifighter Twister. It's really easy to add controller mapping files, and I'm happy to implement them if they are popular requests.

are the IPhone and iPad versions the same? or is the iPhone half the grid?

  • iPhone and iPad version are different. iPad is landscape and offers 4 additional macro parameters (distortion, volume pan, pitch (bend)

I would like to see the Faderfox Controller. I have the PC4.

    Thank you.

I'll look into that one. It seems similar to the midifighter twister to some extent. I'll have to create the mapping blindly, since I don't have one of those controllers, but I can try.

    Great, thank you.

I attached the midi fighter twister mapping. It's a simple xml file with pad maps and slider maps

Thanks for this, but it doesn't look to work with MIDI CC's, eh?

yes, it does. When you look at the section, you'll see a bunch of lines looking like this:

Channel is the midi channel, starting at 1
    Index is the Controller CC
Map is the Looptunes parameter it maps to
Toggle specifies whether or not this controller is used to toggle a parameter. You'll see those further down at the section. The midifighter uses CCs for it's button 'presses' for example.

OK, must be something wrong with my MIDI setup.

More distressingly right now: I'm getting crackles and pops when I import my own samples. Will email you directly about it. Thx.

I just released 1.2.1, which has a fix for the crackles and pops you were experiencing.
    Enjoy.

Thanks for the effort. I have been on the sidelines, but intend to rectify that.

    Three things:
    1. Thanks for the fix. It works well!
    2. I got the MIDI controls working with a network session.
    3. Gold star for a super responsive developer.

I just made a controller mapping for the PC4. See if that works

    Hi sonicreef,

    super cool thank you.

Will try this weekend and let you know.

  • I see that its only in the AudioBus Input slot. Is that correct?

@sonicreef Thanks for all the updates so far. My main question would be do you have plans on allowing to record directly to a pad via audiobus?

  • edited October 2016

i can't remember, does this one have panning per sample or is it panning per session?

  • @sonicreef: I am not able to use my loops from AudioCopy in Loopytunes. I'm getting an "AudioCopy Integration Error" message when trying to use the AudioPaste function. Reinstalled the app but it keeps reoccuring. The message further says: Please add LSAapplicationQueriesSchemes array to your applications plist. I hope this can be fixed.
