Ah, so a bumper for your own production work? Now we're talking. Forget NBC, we're squarely in THX land.

    Here's my pitch:
    0-4s: tick tock of a clock/machine ->
4s-5s: train whistle with lots of overtones ->
5s-8s: overtunes blend into some sort of choir 'ahh' ->
    8s: fade to black

You're hired, but now I've got to make the kid some dinner :)

  • For the record, I revisited Seline recently and discovered that it works very well for this kind of project and also slots right into AB or AUM, no worries....remember liking this app a lot for a couple of days and then putting it to one side...a pleasure to come back to and fun to play....

Also you could go for a formant type sound (using one of the vocal synths) as our ears and brain have an inbuilt and subconscious ability to interpret/recognise those types of sound, particularly vowel sounds.

I like this idea. Any famous examples? I'm drawing a blank.

It's not a jingle but you'll get the idea
It's nothing fancy just a sawtooth chord and heavy eq
Zuse 3 is more or less the same with the chord as arpeggio
    But listen

A jingle just has to be something u remember
Listen to the telecom sound logo, 3 notes, some piano preset sound,
A 6 year old could have done that, and I bet they paid a lot of Money for it, lol

  • What you could do is do the Ramone's intro "one two three four" and auditorily cross out the “four”.

My brother used to play in a punk band, after years he realized what purpose the counting in has, he thought it was just count to 4 as fast as you can and then go, rofl
We both have to laugh about this now.

The THX logo has quite an interesting story

It's quite different from all the other logos
They went for hey let's create a 20 sec audiodrama
