There were no price tag at my end in Denmark. And now the packs are gone again.

  • I tried to buy them but it failed each time?
Not sure if the update broke something?

  • Ok, tried again and got the American acoustic.
It's great, really good sample quality :)

    How does the strumming work?

  • Pre set out chords of strumming. Push a key and you get different chords.
Not my thing, but the single note samples are very good with performance noise etc.

    Great with my Jamstik :)

  • I hope @thesoundtestroom will demo this ;)

  • I got it working with Guitarism via it's midi out to ST.

How do you like the Jamstik? Seriously considering getting it.

wow! IK, you have my money!

Looking forward to hearing about the Billy Cobham drums and if they are acoustic etc. [Update] Okay, it looks like the Cobham Acrylite kit was sampled, but those plastic shells sound awful. Why pick that kit to sample. Sheesh.

  • @Telstar5
The Jamstik is great. Had it for over a year now. Very useful.

  • I use mine for coming up with strumming patterns and chord progressions mostly, great for when u don't have a guitar handy. Also nice for playing with synth pads. There is a bit too much latency though for serious fingerstyle, I still use my Fishman Triple Play for that. Having only 5 frets can also be frustrating. However once you understand it's limitations the Jamstik is a great little controller

  • Thanks. Ruboch! I guess though you can enter it w the latency and perhaps tighten it up later via sequencer .

Exactly, it's really cool for coming up with realistic guitar strumming parts, when combined with high quality samples and buried in the mix it's hard to tell the difference...

  • Bought the AmericanAcoustic.I have a (maybe stupid) question. When I have selected a (strummimg or picking)
    pattern,how can I play a sequence of chords,For example Cmajor-Aminor-Fmajor-Gmajor?Is there a way to
assign a certain pattern to a certain key.If not, what sense does rhw whole thing make?

  • Previous version: 1.09 gigabytes
    New version: 1.63 gigabytes

Whether you buy the new packs or not, you're paying for them in space. IKM, why do you treat your customers like this?

  • How many "instruments" proper are in these IAPs?

I got the one Electronika and it is only LOOPS.

So, not sure about any of these now.

I don't want a bunch of LOOPS with sampled instruments that you can't even adjust the key.

The website said 4 instruments for the last Electronika IAP but I never found even 1.

    Memory hog is hoggin'

The new add on packs are more than 1.5 GB combined, so it is quite unlikey that they are already included in the app.

Other apps like TableTop or MusicStudio install the whole packs even if you don't buy them. The payment is only for unlocking, so...

  • My point is that the app ballooned by 50%. When the previous version was already 1 gig, and many of our devices have only 32-64 gb total storage, that matters.

I think mine was already at 1.5 before the update. So while IKM has done this before (preinstalling soundpacks) I am not sure it actually happened here. Could it be that the size went up in the 2.0 update?

The .ipa file for v2.0.1 is 1.09gb. Is it possible that it expands to 1.5 gb on the device, and it's the expanded size of the new version that Apple lists on the App Store?

yes, I think this might be the case. I just checked, 2.0 was released as a 1.6 GB app.

  • It sounds amazing though! I took out Garage Band for ST2 so worth it.

Love the acoustic and Strat sounds in this update!

  • @MusicicMan4Christ: Great demo.. Could have fooled me!
