Effectrix gets Link

  • You can always desactivate link if you wish, although for me it never caused any prob when combined with iaa host sync, and even add sturdiness (you don't need to stop and restart after a tempo change ...)

I've got it running through AUM just fine. Are you all pressing the play button in AUM or is it paused? I haven't tried it sans AUM, so maybe that's the problem.

  • Yah aum works great with it. No luck with just AB though. But may as well always use aum with it.

  • Personally, I use Genome.

I dedicate one channel of Genome to Effectrix.

Effectrix works 85% of the time for me.

    Result!

  • But seriously. I think there's something amiss. Since effectrix has its own sequencer it should behave like any other link enabled sequencer: start on the one when it's start button is engaged.

No change for me other than the news that sb are still working on IOS stuff.

Agree. I'm quite disappointed really :/

At least we have AUM working ok :)

    Absolutely right.

I feels like alot of wasted resources and to have to enable this process.

Hence, I tend to take the sound I was going to run through it and put in in Egoist, making several different variations of the loop and getting to slice it up while using the sequential effects matrix.

Not that this saves me time of course..............LOL

I've barely had time to mess around but from what I found is that you have to make sure clock send is on the master.

Effectrix wasn't doing anything until I turned on the midi clock out in ElasticDrums

Thanks !! Ok so the Link implementation in Effectrix doesn't include clock sync or something like that, you must Sync via midi. So it appears @supadom was right and the question remains, "how is it different from before link?".

    Tempo control maybe ..?

Oddness pervades! It worked great for me in AUM before the update... AUM provided the link and did a decent enough job with the IAA sync to Effectrix... hope it still works in AUM for me now.

Didnt try it un AUM already, can YouTube tell us ??

    Never mind, you already answered.

  • Nice update. Works well here as an insert effect in AUM.

  • For me it won't work. Nor with AUM, AB or modstep

  • AUM / iSpark / Effectrix ✅
    AUM / Elastic Drums / Effectrix ✅
    AUM / iMachine 2 / Effectrix ✅

Not yet but it was the next to-do

  • In Audiobus

    Effectrix: connected to 1 app

Gadget: Link connected to 0 apps

    :o

Enough moaning from me. What ,they probably meant is that they optimised the sync engine to work with Link which is good enough for me,
