One thing which i think is needed is to be able to save to a different bank within the AU gui, which currently seems impossible. If you change bank, you change your patch.

With the PPG apps you can at least open the main app while the AU is open and make new folders. I know that it's a pain having to change the folder on the AU to register that folder, but I just make sure I have made folders for all my AU hosts in all the PPG apps. That way I can sort them later.

Thanks, yes that works, but it seems easy to lose a patch you've just created. If you change bank to an empty one you can save into that but if you change into any other bank you've just lost your patch unless you can save into the original bank (or save in host AU presets). I'd like to see the same functionality in the program manager as in the main app as it's a bit fiddly this way. Not automatically changing preset when you change into a different (populated) bank would help.

Amazing having Wavemapper as an Au though. :)

Yeah even in the main apps, saving has been an issue. I've just got used to it now and keep aware of that magic 100 and keep folders hanging around.

  • Bug fixes through for the new AUs. Well done PPG :)

  • I tried PPG free and liked the sounds of the presets. I picked up wavemapper based on users' recommendations for user friendliness and really, really like it. Having it as an AU makes it even more awesome.

Even better when you start programming it ;)

Agreed. It makes it so easy to start designing your own sounds and saving to your own banks.

  • Wow Wolfgang is on it. I just updated and he pushed another update fixing user reported bugs.

And a hell of a lot less money than one of these:

Does anyone feel confident in their patch design skills on the 2 Wave PPG apps?

I never got my stride on the comfortable factor.

    They have firepower, no doubt.

The interface just never clicked for me like ----- "ah hah!"

I never feel like I can envision the sound I want to create, instead it is what I design by what I physically do.

Whereas Nave and Animoog, I can literally think of a sound and get pretty close.

I wish I had that connection with these apps. I am going to dedicate some time to them.

The sound quality may be the best of any IOS synth app out there in reality. (IMHO)

Yeah I feel quite at home making sounds in the PPG apps. It's just they have a lot of envelopes and LFOs if you want them. I used to have a Waldorf XTK though, so it's pretty similar in the Wave table usage.

Well, I would welcome trying some of your presets out if you ever wanted share.
