@Audiojunkie Yes they start and stop perfectly together, they will play in time perfectly for more the ten mins,my songs are rarely longer and if I slow down the tempo of the master app the others catch up in about half a second and still stay in synce not so if I increase the tempo they can go out of sync while ajusting tempo but when you set the tempo then stop and start its back to its rock solid performance there are a few more apps but I think they should be mentioned in a new thread called something like "Apps that Sync and play well together"
@Multitouch Thanks! Yeah, you're right. Sorry for derailing the thread everyone. :-)
I feel so ancient..I never ever Midi Sync anything..its all bpm syncing..I was playing with wist the other day and thought ooh this is nice, only having to press one button..lol...seriously though midi can be a royal pain on ios...
Midi has never been as much of a pain in the ass as it is in it's iOS virtual midi incarnation
If you'll allow me to bring this back on topic:
Has anyone been able to control Sidpad via virtual midi? I'm trying to use Beatmaker 2 to drive it, but no luck so far. Sidpad doesn't even show up as a possible midi destination.
(And yes, I've purchased the pro version with midi)
BM2 isn't know for its virtual midi functionality
Anyone here still using SidPad?? (Current version is 1.7)
(I just saw the dev release an update to some of his other apps fixing severe memory leaks, so i still hope that SidPad is not 'abbandonware').
I find it to be very, very unstable with constant crashes on my iPad Mini running iOS7.1.2.
The app randomly simply quits when jumping between the different pages of the app 'Filter, Mod and WT' which makes it somewhat unusable.
Because of the constant crashes i refuse to get the IAP...
Why would i spend cash on an app that crashes non-stop??
I do have a soft spot for C64 and SID-Sounds and this only app that comes close.
Maybe someday we'll see a iOS synth based on the excellent reSID engine.
Any future SID based iOS-Synths would be a welcome addition, maybe even an instrument version of 'GoatTracker'.
3 part multi-timbral with Combined and Separate Outputs, Midi, Audiobus and IAA.
Maybe refx could dust off the code to QuadraSID and port it to iOS

Man that sucks, ive been using SIDPAD for a while now and cant recall it ever crashing on me?

I can't make it to crash if i just play the factory patches, but as soon as i try to edit the WT or draw some modulation curves, it randomly crashes, not every time though, but enough to make it feel unreliable
It could be a memory leak, and such things are not as evident on iPads with more RAM, my 'classic' iPad Mini is stuck with it's 64GB of storage and 512MB ram.
When iOS 8 arrives i plan to get a new iPad which i hope will include plenty of RAM (4GB would be sweet) to enable more simultaneous running of many, many apps.
Once I can confidently edit (no need to save) patches without crashing i will get the IAP too...
@twisted_electrons - One doubt that intrigues me... Is SidPad out of tune? All patches are tuned in A... Am I missing something?
And Studio 1111 is still crashing when selecting kits from the IAPs, even after the last update.
