What's your wacky setup of the day?
Ok so today I took 5 instances of iVCS VCOs I'm testing as AUs in Auria and sent them to a bus with a modulated iVCS Filter
Then I put it through Effectrix in AUM
Then I added a drum beat I've been working on in DrumPerfect Pro
Synced em up with Link. Added a little RF-1
Instant rhythmic fun.
Back to Auria Pro to mess with the iVCS OSCs to add some manual input changes

My wacky setup of today is playing with FLM3 on my tiny android phone screen because I left my iPad at home this morning
You beat me there, that's wacky!
How's the iVCS AUv3 coming along ? is it harder/easier/just the same to use as the full synth ?
Well it's different really, as they are just modules. Having fun with them though. A good addition in my view.
So can you still route a VCS osc through a VCS filter easily ? My guess is that you have to put them onto a mixer and route the osc to the filter that way ? With the filter as an Insert FX ?
And how do you route an LFO to the Filter ?
I'm sure there are many ways to do stuff with them. I've just scratched the surface really.
I used a bus in Auria, but you can use AUM or any host that uses AU. Just make a buss for the output of the OSCs to the Filter. The Filter has its own built in LFO to automate any of the dials.
Ahhh ok....I want it, and I want it now
What is the result ? (Sonically hearing).
Oh, and are you on IPad Pro, Air 2 ?
Air2
Was sonically interesting. Needs more time to tweak
damned I wish ab3 would see the light of day now
I have all these setups ready to go ... ^^
It's half finished tracks thanks to state saving
Just need a mixer to go to town with it.
Can't compete with a mini2, but it's interesting to hear what others can do with a few more CPU cycles, ram, and drive space.
Don't worry I'm still rocking mini 2
It is still pretty respectable, but the more demanding apps will drop it to its knees.
Im Running stuff like this without hiccups
With safari and the forum running in the background...
But you are right it's getting a little long in the tooth
With new hardware I could get the buffer down ...
So with you on this.
The longer it takes the more sofisticated it gets
And I really wish sector would get link so
I don't have to use aum
Im so used to state saving now
It's so much faster than anything else for my preferred way of throwing things together
And it doesn't come with an empty arrangement page (daw)
My brain goes blank when I see that
Dreaming of state saving and auto loading!
Before x-mas I hope
If we weren't such feature freaks we would have it already lol
The whole Au thing is still pretty meh to me,
There is no daw on iOS that suits my taste ...
And I rarely need x instances of the same thing
I have so many IAA tools with link to choose from...
I guess this is why Au isn't lifting off,
No cool daw. Just these bandrecorder things, meh
Hello ableton, I am throwing money against my touchscreen, don't you want it? Wake up!
LOL, I forgot for how many years I am singing this song.
Enough wacky blah blah from wacky lala, now.
Not sure if it is wacky but two ipads both running Blocs lets you do interesting things with Aum/Blocs/FX ----> Blocs. Next up I am going to try Circuit----->Aum/Blocs/FX----->Blocs
Sounds interesting. More details please
Throw a -----> Launchpad on the end and you got somewhere near my normal messabout workflow
Shame we don't live closer. Would love to just come and jam with our setups.
My wacky setup is I'm using Auxy more and more. Gets stuff down quickly
Yeah I do miss jamming, my music making is far too lonely a place at the moment Still having lots of fun though
Yeah I'm finding I rarely record anything now. I just love making music but it's way better with real people just jamming along.
I record but really just so I can do the production...I like both sides, but I think I would prefer to produce other peoples stuff, and just jam my own with others, and have someone else produce it.
That would be awesome! Sad to say I have only ever had one jam session in my life.
Did you enjoy it?
