  • Lured in by the bargain bait.....it's surprisingly intuitive compared to some (Egoist still amazes/confounds in equal measure), whilst not being super keen on the way it's set up / designed, was able to knock out some interesting things almost straight away. I can well see why it has gotten the accolades for being a useful tool for inspiration. I'm kind of missing some form of built in sonic manipulation, levels, eq's & wotnot but guess that's not really in its remit.

  • I look at every music app as a tool that does what it does, and within those boundaries decide what it can be used for. As long as I didn’t have to do the coding, I could easily turn Blocs Wave into a more fully capable music production app, but I’m not much into fantasy. As it stands, I like BW and play with it quite a bit. It’s just kind of sad they have to discount an already very inexpensive product. But hey, Novation, dudes, where’s my next free update with the features I requested? ;)

Fine I won't get a coffee this morning.
They finally got me. Bought and looking forward to cheap thrills. Thanks novation
Edit: recording new loops via slice pads is good. Don't like just playing stock loops together. Will find more ways to mangle them or import/record my own.

  • Great App, but still no MIDI clock sync from a company with such a MIDI hardware heritage is bewildering to me.
    The curse of Ableton Link?
(I know 3rd party Apps can be used as a workaround but I find that a PITA to set up each time and still no start/stop with PC DAW)
