This release is perfect for attracting those Live users to blocs wave :)

I've incorporated Live into my setup so anything that bridges Live to iOS is great for me. With both Blocs and Patterning releasing this functionality at the same time, I wonder if the push for this is coming from Ableton, and if we'll see even more apps follow suit?

Next big improvement to my Live/iOS workflow would be wired Link. Way too many headaches trying to use wireless Link at venues in a live scenario.

is it coming back around?.... that guy said there was going to be lots of updates etc... and that it was good even if you weren't an elektron user but personally I think the app was a cash grab. I still use it though as it does what it does do well but I'm not on os 10 but yeah, I didn't appreciate the neglect.

I tend to think if it isn't a game it isn't an attempted cash grab. Likely real life got in the way.

  • of course strom was not like mosaik.. and you could be right but cash grabs do exist

  • As far as I recall strom was free unless you bought the iap.

  • wasn't free for me, isn't free now either. the irritating thing is that it's really, really good in some ways...maybe cash grab was too much, but my sulking is definitely accurate.

  • back on the bloc, I love the hues that the blocs wave tutorial videos are filmed with... the aesthetics are great

  • @Jose_Bee my first try ended up with empty audio files. The files are there, just no data. I exported out of Blocs Wave to Dropbox. But it may be pilot error.

@blocsxnovation Having no luck exporting (Live Session or otherwise) from BW on my iPhone 5 (10.0.2, BW 9.0(542)) to either DB or iCloud. DB gives me a no progress bar "Uploading..." dialog that I have to eventually Cancel out of, and iCloud gives me a "Copying file failed" error. iPad works fine. Anybody else have something similar happen?

Unstalled/reinstalled after successfully sending Live Session out via email, but the iCloud/DB issues remain. Triqtraq exports work fine on that device, btw.

  • The only workaround I've found is to export to AudioShare then dropbox

Interesting. I was about to try your workaround, then saw that DB had another listing up there in the first row. Instead of "Open in..." it says "Import from..." whatever that means. Worked, though, so thanks for the nudge.

  • Finally got it to work. Seems like the original project I tried was some how corrupted. Created a new project and all is good.

Also, they usually have a big sale in Dec-Jan so I'd wait

Now all Ableton's products including upgrades are 20% off till Jan 11
