@firejan82 can you check for midi out?

to use it as a controller?

    it's going slow for a 47.1 MB but I think I can

Yes that's what I meant. Much appreciated

Doesn't look like it, didn't see midi out in the settings and doesn't show as a midi source in Animoog. I don't usually check synth apps for midi out so if there's another way to make sure, just let me know.

  • so ...... is it an audio unit?

It's a winner!! Audiorate modulation sounds a-ok. I sold off my Karp Odyssey last month, so this eases the pain a bit. Obviously iOS keeps certain sounds within the safe zone, but this certainly gets the tone in same ball park, PLUS polyphony, PLUS patch saving, PLUS effects.

EDIT: filters, rev 1 and 2 sound similar as hardware, rev 3 a little milder than the hardware i had.

kaoss pad/xy note grid in Lexington?

    @firejan82 thanks for checking

  • Looks like it requires iOS 9.3 and above :(

Why the sad face. Ios9.3 works just fine - even on my aging iPad 4

Not AU, unfortunately. Would've been the icing on a particularly tasty and moist cake. Maybe Korg will embrace AU when they create an AU gadget!! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Say no more.

Not to worry. Worth the purchase price for preset 041: Kitchen Sync alone.

  • Downloading now. w00t!

  • its posted on the site here in Canada. its $28 on sale. Anyone got it yet? Very tempting...

  • Must have for gadget! Straight up favorite!

This one Gadget alone is almost the same price I paid for the original Gadget - it better be gooood

    Yah our dollar sucks!

  • This is the Gadget with more tweakable options :) . I doesn't show in the Cubasis instruments list. I guess is IAA generator.

  • This (I haven't got it until I can get a cheaper way of getting itunes vouchers than full price) has one significant extra thing over the hardware one, and particularly the 21st Century reissue, which absolutely definitely should have had this: velocity as a modulator for the VCA. Interestingly, that new slider wedged in between the VCF and VCA seems to have a destination switch, as opposed to source like all the others. The Karp should definitely have had velocity as a midi and keyboard parameter.

  • did anyone try how this is "also a sound module in Garage Band" ?

Micro Review: oooh this is really nice! Working great as a Gadget, and the standalone is cool, especially the arpeggiator (not available in the gadget, and its pretty much a full 16 step seq). It sounds awesome, great unison on this baby. Quite easy to program too, though the controls are a bit small for my sausage fingers on the Mini I really should get a full size iPad one of these days...

Not sure about charging for the other two skins, maybe the presets are worth it, but I haven't bought them.

    I require completion
Arp Odyssey and meThis despite the caption is more like winter 1980 (yes, make-up, yes, newromantic, yes, everyone else too).

  • Are the IAPs necessary to get the Rev. 1 and 2 filters, or just the additional skins and presets?

  • Bought 4 Korg synths today. Well done Korg. :-)

  • Got this one with IAPs! Still waiting for iWavestation :D

I have a VCF Type !,II,II selector on the base version, and they seem to select different filters, so I'm thinking not.

The IAP is for the skins and the presets only.

Waiting for your report Samu! :)

  • SO...how much are the IAP's?

  • No mention of Link. Or AB/IAA for that matter. Not that I can find anyway.
    Anyone tried it AB/AUM ?
