"Hey, has anybody seen Fruitbat?"
"I think he's out back in the van, slapping his presets!"
Just gotta get the right portamento speed up ma scale man!
I found a bug where Drum Names got messed up after the Ride Cymbals....4.5.1 here we come with AudioShare on phone too.
FYI...version 4.5.1 is already out and fixes the bug and allows Sample Import on iPhone. Apple is sure fast these days!
Yes, yes, yes. Just saw this.
I'm like 90% iPhone only these days because I just don't get a chance to break out the iPad.
This is great.
Can't wait to point it at Gadget and throw some crazy patterns into Lexington.
And learn a bit more about the finer points of DD.
I'm also going to point it at my Volca Keys and see what happens.
Little manual update here: http://www.technemedia.com/drummer/DD_Guide.pdf
Thanks. I know that writing documentation can be the least fun.
Hasn't propagated in u.s. Store yet.
Thanks @technemedia!
Wow. Congratulations Peter.
wow that was a fast update! thanks. love that sample import is there now. awesome
Update is here in UK. Really excited to try this with imported samples. Thanks @technemedia
I have pretty much no idea what most of the buttons mean/do - but I've had fun messing with the Zenterface.
With the iPad version i only ever used the other bar graph type view. Is that available on the iPhone?
And can anyone briefly describe what the IAPs would give a midi out user (ie me)?
And bonus points if anyone can briefly explain a "rythmnlet" (I think that's what it's called).
The phaser IAP will automate the phase of various wave types. You can control the depth and direction as well. It gets a bit too weird for many of the wave types, but I've gotten some interesting effects. Setting the depth and speed low usually works best for me.
The Jamlet, is what I believe you're referring to. That allows you to create a specific progression and mix, and then you can just tap it to implement it. It will replace whatever current progression may be running, and then return to it once completed.
@technemedia would like to throw a vote in for Midi import as the next thing to bring over to iPhone version. So few apps have it, and this one being as AWESOME as it is, I can think of many many creative uses for the function. Please and a big thank you!
@technemedia it's been very quiet on the Different Drummer front. Has development ceased or are you maybe working on something new?
I just picked this up on the recommendation of johnfromberkeley and WOW is this thing a blast!. It took me a couple hours to wrap my head around what's going on but I just can't stop messing with this. John - you're the MAN for introducing me to this app!
I need to figure out how to use this to trigger other synths... Any suggestions?
@funjunkie27 has a video.
Have you found this?
Awesome - let the madness continue!
"Close" to releasing 4.6.0 with Link and AB 3 updates and bug fixes...however...after installing the AB3 code, she no get my audio over in AB3 or 2 so it doesn't go out to effects and other endpoints, making it worthless for that purpose. No doubt doing something wrong but this is eating into my available time to add cool new stuff and preventing me from releasing. @dvlmusic welcome and hope you get a lot of good or at least interesting stuff out of DD....there's a lot in there for sure—4 years worth of dev!
@Techne - I've basically been going non-stop with it since I picked it up. AWESOME app. Just when I think I've got it figured out I discover some new parameter I can adjust. I'm having loads of fun, now I just need to find a way to make it all musical
Great news.
It is an awesome app. All of your work is greatly appreciated.
@Techne I thank you profusely and profoundly for bothering to port this wonderful app to the iphone!!!
Nice to hear development is still ongoing
