I thought he posted something here a long time ago about him no longer developing the app .. Could be dreaming that though.
@daddyrism are you around??
...just got a guitarism update on AppStore!!!
So awesome!!! Really hope it gets to work on the Audiobus sync start
Apparently:
"Updated to latest versions of Facebook and Parse SDKs"
Is this a thing to be happy about?
Guitarism update just hit UK App Store!
EDIT - Oops, I see that Johnny and Noonian beat me to the news.
details?
Love it!!! Inside Audiobus you can remote start Funk Drummer an other apps!
Good to see an update after over two years - still the best "strumming and picking" on IOS in my view.
So glad this app is still alive!
Sending midi to SampleTank guitar with delay effect sooooo nice
Do folks really strum with this app? I find it pretty hard, but still the best option on iOS.
I do.
One thing I'd love to see on this app: use accelerometer to vibrato/tremolo/whammy
(a la ThumbJam)
Lovely thank you.
Still opens 'upside down' grrrrrr.....
After update can confirm opens upside down too
IPad mini 2
Doesn't get any easier for me on iOS to strum.
That's just a little demo (very loud, sorry, turn down your speakers) showing how easy it is to strum away like a rock star. Also, it was my first week with the bigger 12.9 so I kept bumping buttons
It's pretty radical but it does sound good once you tweak the sound with effects from Auria, ToneStack or even good old Flying Haggis.
Yeah, I can do all that.
But I find the strings a little wide for speed strumming. I've experiments with not lifting my hand off the glass to prevent dropping edge strings. More like wiping back and forth robotically than raking down on the strings. In other words, not a natural guitar motion.
Thank you for posting.
^ very true about the spacing. I found the iPad Mini 7.9 to be the perfect size for guitarism, but had to sell the Mini for the upgrade.
It would be really nice if the touchable sections were modular and you could drag them around on the screen and resize.
@Bluepunk Does, and dos a mighty fine job at it too!
Make sure to disable smart strings in settings to make space smaller between the strings.
Of course. Still pretty wide!
wow an update!? cool. but still upside down? bummer
Don't get it, mines not upside down
Here's how mine looks

Facebook update!!!!!!!!
I've been waiting for that for almost 2 years!!!!!!!!
Awesome!!!!!!
Hey guys, sorry for the radio silence. I just found out that somehow my @-mention notifications were turned off (not sure for how long) so I was not seeing any of these messages. Turned back on now.
In any case, yes Guitarism has been in maintenance mode for about 3 years now, when I started a regular day job. Between my job and family I don't get much time to work on new features, though I am committed to resolving issues with existing functionality. The recent Parse update was going to involve complete data loss for anyone participating in the Guitarism online community, so I had to get that one out by the end of Jan. I also updated the app to the latest iOS version, and resolved the 32-bit / 64-bit issue (should have mentioned that in the update description - forgot). In the days since then I've been stamping out other bugs that people have been reporting.
So if you're having issues with existing Guitarism functionality, please let me know!
