Looking for a place to live

Hi peeps. May seem strange putting this on here, but nothing ventured etc.

Looking for anyone who has or knows of the following:

A place to live in a shared house or bedsit within 50 miles or so of Gillingham Dorset UK.

My situation:

Still married, but can no longer live with my wife due to her family.
I'm 47, male and currently unemployed due to ill health, so would need the place to except benefit payments. I may be able to work at times, or even help out with others work if able.
I am a very clean person and considerate of others I live with.
I am sociable, but often have to spend large amounts of time on my own due to my illness (cluster head pains).
I am an animal lover, yet my wife will be keeping our dog, so do not need a place to accept pets.
I do not smoke, i do vape though, which I would do in my own room.
I do need a good size double due to having to spend time on my own.
I am a gently spoken person (but can sing loudly lol) and I swear rarely. I'm no angel though and love a devilishly good laugh, but am kind hearted and considerate.

I've pretty much lost most of what I've had over the years due to my health and just need a place to try to start afresh. I would need to live within a cheap distance of a job centre as I don't drive.

Yes, best of luck. Bad situations can make it impossible to be optimistic, but try anyway. Keep your eyes open.

Good man. I find it useful to speak to myself in the future when struggling a bit, especially with things that feel beyond my control. I know, a little odd sounding, but still The time passes anyway, and the fellow out there in front of me tends to be my best supporter. He knows that things worked out. Of course, he has his own worries and concerns, but I find he rarely bothers me with those....

I saw a documentary on T.V. the other day where there was this guy who lives in a pineapple under the sea, perhaps that is an option ?

Plenty of flats here in Mid Wales...bit out of the 50 mile radius though!

Sorry to hear about your situation. I went through something similar about 15 years ago, when a relationship broke down. I was pretty low, and moved into the spare room of a mutual friend for a few months. Turned out to be one of the best times I've ever had - free to come and go as I pleased, with a new mate to have a few beers with.

Sometimes I feel like ringing him up to see if the room's still available....

Difficult times but take heart in the knowledge you are not alone. I suspect there are a few of us on the forum that could relate similar personal stories.

Not easy but choose to keep striving and life can get better again.

I hope it works out. If you want to come to Texas...I'm looking for a new place right now and could accommodate an iOS music fanatic. The problem here is that property values have skyrocketed and anything affordable is...well it's not affordable.
