I'm interested, @HoldernessMedia: when you decide on a particular effect you want to include in Echo Pad, how do you go about researching and figuring out how to achieve it and make it sound the way you want? Apologies if I'm asking for a blog post here, but this has always fascinated me. You have an end result planned, but how do you work out how to get there?
@Michael_R_Grant - That's a good question, but here's not the appropriate place for an answer. That gives me a reason to make a little blog post though, so thanks for asking. I'll see if I can find time to write it this week.
And if you could also find time to look into some of the effects used by Lee Perry during his Black Ark period.
Some ios versions of them would be nice.
@HoldernessMedia: No worries, I thought it might be an essay.
@commonstookie you know AUFX:DUB is coming out right?
Thanks @eyeballjackson.good point and maybe it will tick all the boxes.
'Scratch' only used a Mutron phaser,a
Grantham spring reverb and a
Roland Space Echo to create his sound.
Maybe I just need to wait for the ios7/audiobus update to run 3 effects at once.
Could do it now with multiple overdubs.hmmmm
And here it is! https://itunes.apple.com/app/id678982701?mt=8
Bought! Really small footprint, and such a fast and intuitive app and interface to get going with (al a AUFX:Space). And it just sounds absolutely great. Lots of presets too I noticed, this thing can do some really gritty and crazy stuff. Love it, thanks!
Been waiting for this, but I'll have to wait a bit longer, since I'm at work now. I need to accelerate my retirement plan, so I can devote more time to apps!
Woohoo! Congratulations!
Awesome thanks! You can write some (great) code pretty quick!
Mouth is watering, but I'm gonna have to wait a couple weeks.
Wow this can do a ton of different type effects
I'm officially a Liljedahl fanboy lol. (Oh and your first stalker, you do live in Sweden right?.....)
At this point if I had any feature request, it would be the ability to export/import your AUFX presets between your iDevices. Maybe a sync feature that uses Dropbox, or email presets perhaps?
@ChrisG Oh, cool
Yes, email sharing is on my TODO list. Automatic Dropbox sync is a nice idea too!
Just downloaded.Nice file size.
Looking forward to playing with it.
Thanks Jonatan.
Sounds great, thanks Liljedahl!
got a cash infusion. trigger: pulled!
Nice, only 1.5 MB... all the space-starved iOS device owners thank you
The tape noise is so smooth, I could sleep to that.
I thought something was wrong for a couple of minutes when the default preset selection had all that tape noise. Other than that, me likey!
Hi guys..posted this in its own thread but will post it here too....dont know about you guys but everytime I post anything today..it flags me for moderation..anyone else having any problems
Yeah, in the future I'll use a better default preset after first install
Hi guys Doug here..been having lots of posting problems today..spoke to Sebastian and it seem to be sorted out so here is the video...
@j_liljedahl have you considered making this an Auria plugin? I'd gladly pay again. I could run more than one instance!
I'm probably going to have to get every AUFX: you can dream up, dammit!
for my 2c,
I can't use email sharing (I use gmail).
really need On/Off to also have a Bypass selection. In fact, I thought Off was bypass, tll I tried it.
For settings sharing, a text file and support "Open In" to/from something like GoodReader will do everything I need, although how about adding some form of generic patch exchange feature and librarianship to AudioShare via Open In too? PatchShare? Sysex bulk dumps?
Thanks, really, for these fine processors.
I too have regrets for gear I basically just got rid of years ago - MonoPoly, Juno 60, Hafler amp, charcoal 1991 Fender American Plus Strat, ... iOS is going a long way towards fixing that feeling.
@dwarman - I use the gmail app also but I do have my gmail account setup and double verified in the stock mail app, I just keep it turned unless I need it for something such as this or snagging attachments from deleted drafts trick. It can be temperamental to setup in the stock one but it can be done you just have to assign it a "unique" I.D. Which is assigned by Google and you paste it into the password box for your email sign in but after that its done for good
@dwarman: I'm not sure what you mean regarding on/off and bypass? on/off is really just like a power button. It turns the effect off completely, meaning it won't continue to run in the background and won't use any CPU. The Bypass toggle is a standard functionality, like dragging the mix slider to all dry.
Regarding patch sharing, I'll add Open In and Email for those too.
Shall I take silence as "no, no auria plans"? I hope not. I'm not pro proprietary crap but damn I really want to run more than once instance of this hotness.
@j_liljedahl - I just found the ByPass button beside the wet/dry mix. I had previously missed those squares as buttons due to their subdued nature. OK now on that one.
Patch sharing ++
