Anyone still use Alchemy?!!
I'm a huge fan of Alchemy Mobile...always have been... anybody have any pieces they'd like to share? https://soundcloud.com/buddemeyer72/alchemy-at-hangnail-studios

yer alchemy is still my favourite synth. Love the pad sounds I normally just chill playing chords with the pads and sounds scapes. Also I Carnt believe it still work on iOS 10
Yeah, probably my favorite iOS synth. I even like it better than the new Alchemy they added to Logic. Nothing to share though.
Man I wish! I'd do anything to get my grubby mitts on it
I think I have all the sound packs except a couple...wish they were still around...such a powerful app
Still my favourite synth app ever on IOS. I don't actually use it so much as it is not supported. When I got a new ipad air 2 I kept my old ipad 2 rather than sell it purely because it has Alchemy with all the sound packs on it - the old ipad 2 is now an Alchemy instrument for me (does not get turned on for anything else). Wish I could copy it over to my newer ipad but I only have it on device, I don't have the files on my computer.
Nothing else since comes close - I know some use Synthmaster as a kind of replacement but in short it is not a replacement, Alchemy wipes the floor with Synthmaster for me.
Don't have it on the iPad, but muck about with it now and again on the laptop (via Logic). Great sounds.
I don't have it on iPad, but had all their software on PC. The two fx they did were amaze balls![B) B)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)
Have you tried downloading it from the my purchases section of the AppStore? They did eventually fix redownloading IAP purchases.
One of those iOS gems that got me to spend money on PC soft. (Strange that it's legacy now on both platforms)
A synth that early on gave inspiring touch screen performance functionality.
Volumes of sounds that still surprise, lately for me the drum and fx sounds (especially when using touch performance surfaces)
Not to mention a 4 track recorder that makes loops and songs.
If you haven't yet checked them out, there is a library of songs on board that show of the breadth of the thing.
Still one of my favourite synth. I hope Apple will do something with it for IOS?......... Eventually?......
That would be cool! (Not holding my breath)
Me too........ But I try sometimes to be a bit optimistic.........
which current synth would be a substitute?
Still no substitute for Alchemy. It was special. I missed it by a nats whisker![:'( :'(](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/cry.png)
I did try at one point with no joy not so long ago but I think I missed the window of opportunity on that. However, when I get home from work tonight I will give it another go.
Had Alchemy for ages but only recently discovered how innovative/complex under the hood it is, thought it was just another sub synth. Really enjoyed the song btw @DerekBuddemeyer
Would be interested to know how you get on...
Some kind of 'Alchemy' for iOS GarageBand could happen if it ever leaves the 'playground category' and adds some serious tools for editing midi and audio.
Until that happens I'm happy with Alchemy in Logic Pro X...
If I want Alchemy on my iPad I just launch MainStage and use my ICA4+.
BTW nice little jam.
I still have it, and still use it often. One of my favourite synths on iOS. Although I can download the app through iTunes for a backup, I don't think there is any way for me to add all my desktop sound packs any more. I have them all installed, but if I ever switch to a new device, I think I'll be stuck. Still, great synth!
Midi in not really from other apps not working for me.
You should be ok if you bought another iPad. It's on your iTunes account. I'm so glad I bought all the sound packs for it before the sad event.
I did this one using Alchemy Mobile routed through AltSpace and AufxSpace. Alchemy Mobile had the Slipping Far Away preset from the desktop version of Alchemy. AltSpace was running the Taj Mahal preset. And AufxSpace was running the Huge Space preset.
Yeah, the packs I purchased through Alchemy Mobile should be fine, but all the ones I had for Alchemy desktop which I used iFunbox to install will be the problem as I cannot browse to the required directories any more. I still can access them in Alchemy in Logic, so all is not lost, but it's nice having such a cool library of sounds on the iPad.
For this one, I used the Floating Dreams preset in Alchemy Mobile. Routed it through a resonance filter in GliderVerb.
Just tried and no joy - Alchemy is not showing up at all in the list of purchases. Bummer!!
Best ever in my opinion...and I haven't even scratched the surface of it...I think I need a midi controller keyboard...lol. I would probably use it more as I feel I am somewhat limited with the onscreen keys....or....maybe a YRG (you rock guitar....midi guitar)
https://soundcloud.com/buddemeyer72/dark-corners
I tried it a while back at a Guitar Center with a YRG and the guys there were amazed how cool it sounded from my iPad. They were amazed at the quality of the sound coming out!
I used a cheap usb 1.1 hub which i still have and it works perfectly. Never bought the YRG though.
Maybe iFunBox might be a way to import your files into Alchemy or import Alchemy Mobile itself to your device...worth a shot. iFunBox has saved my butt a few times
Used the Sanctus preset (from the Steamworx sound set) for this one.
