Trying to send midi from Infinite Looper to Alchemy see screenshot.
Still #1 App of all time for me.
I actually was able to load nearly 75% of entire ENTIRE library on my IPad a month ago.
I still don't know 100% how it finally happened but i poked and prodded for a while with the VST and library features and in the sandbox and got it to happen.
Love Parade preset still one of my favorite synth sound.
Unlike others, I am fond of the drum sounds as well.
There is NOT 1 thing I don't love about the app except it not being available for upgrades etc...
Very interesting! Are you running a later iOS than 8.3?
If you're trying to load your desktop Alchemy sound packs into Alchemy Mobile, I remember loading them in through iTunes. You need to load a presets and samples file for each sound pack (they have a .CamelSounds extension). IIRC, this only works if you've done the Pro upgrade within Alchemy Mobile.
Once you've loaded them in through iTunes, you use the "Add custom sounds" menu command to install them inside Alchemy Mobile.
Oh yes! Alchemy is still my favorite iOS music making app. It's such a complete app for my needs. Nowadays I use it more as a compositional tool with midi export to Cubasis, but still occasionally use the sounds. My only regret is I didn't buy all the sound packs before it went belly-up.
Good tip, thank you. Will try.
See Davids post above me.
You can also use funbox or copytrans (my current go to)
Have you tried other sequencers?
Test that first, make sure it isn't an app personality thing.
@RustiK thanks! I realized that I don't have the Pro mobile version on my iPhone so I don't have midi in. I can still play the onscreen keyboard in Alchemy though, but can't drive it from other apps.
I still use it a lot. Just recorded some keyboard and iPad tracks for a song that Jeff Scott Soto will release by the end of the year, with Alchemy and PPG WaveMapper.
Love Alchemy and miss its support.
Very cool.. JSS is awesome
Alchemy was definitely my favorite iPad app. Still hanging on to it but I don't rely on it knowing it's not supported anymore. Hopefully one day!
Yep. The presets sound amazing. Synthmaster comes close but has imo a not so crystal clear sound. Apple should bring it back to ios.
man, those drums are WICKED!
Interesting, I see the zip files, via itunes, add them via 'add custom sounds', they 'extract', but then I can't see them thereafter.....probably just missing a simple step.
"Add custom sounds" does indicate that you should be able to load them in as .rar, .zip, or .CamelSounds files. You might try unzipping them first, and then using iTunes to load them. That has -- so far -- always worked for me.
Thanks David. Wouldn't try so hard if everything Alchemy hadn't had the scarcity sauce dolloped all over it![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Re-releasing this as an AU would be Apple's greatest gift ever.
I believe this was one of the lines Voltaire cut from his first draft believing it was too rose-tinted even for Candide![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Ha ha!
Yes, I have it and most of the sound packs on my phone and use it quite often.
