@thesoundtestroom Hope your health gets better on top of all this. I have seen, heard, and even experienced miraculous things through faith. You or others might not believe that type of thing, but I would be remiss not to bring it up. Christ is no burden, he came to take away burdens.
I say that as a man who was once as lost as could be, in dire straights, and was shown the mercy of God in the form of the gift of health. The trick is realizing there is nothing in particular that you have to do, except believe.
The Apostle Paul wrote: I do not nullify the grace of God.
You can turn away from God's grace, sure, but you can also always turns towards it. For if you couldn't, then it wouldn't be called grace.
If all this sounds like a heavy load I'm placing on you realize the opposite is true, and keep on realizing it.
Paul also wrote: By grace we are saved through faith.
The Greek word there for "saved" includes health and healing. By God's grace it comes, and the part we play is faith. Believe it! Faith counters worry. The shield of faith blocks all the fiery arrows of the wicked (another bit from Paul, he wrote some good things!). Faith counters doubt. Faith does not need evidence, it is it's own evidence. Ultimately, faith rests, faith is at ease.
God bless.
This is a great initiative! I hope more developers will take note and participate.
Congrats for Devs taking part of this! I'll purchase today some Brrrrrriliant apps Dougie has generously and passionly reviewed throughout the years.
Take care Doug, you're really in all our hearts!

Yeah, me too. Lots of little guys helping out, have Apple even noticed they have a chance to give instead of take?
Yeah I'm sure the large iPad Pro might help Doug with his eyesight to some degree. Come on Apple if your reading this give Doug the biggest iPad ya have.
This is absolute incredible to feel this love and help here.
My last reserve of itunes credits are empty now...
And it feels great.
Great idea from these devs. Well done.
Have just been shopping for Luiz Martinez.
Yonnac - if only I didn't already have all your apps![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I'm not sure what I'm going to buy during the day. I'll see. Is going to be a good day.
Don't know if anyone else thinks this approach is worthwhile?. I just e-mailed iTunes Support, attempting to get Apple's attention, pointing them to this forum so they can ascertain it's all legit.
Apple, with their billions, could help Doug so easily, recognising what he's done for them. As Fruitbat suggested, a nice iPad Pro would let him see what he's doing.
Do we have any members who are skilled in getting attention for charitable aims?
Getting him a iPad Pro is a great idea! Let's do it!
Hey Apple, are you listening?!
I would also like to thank the devs for doing this and providing the music links too. Plus, a big thank you to all the people who have been so generous when downloading our albums. We have never had so many sales and Doug is benefitting from the full amount of each sale this month!
Thanks to the devs for making this great offer! Bought some new apps and some money goes to Doug = Win-Win.
Although I like the idea of having Apple give him an iPad Pro, I think it would probably make a lot more sense in his financial situation to give the equivalent amount of money instead. Of course it would be cool to get him an iPad Pro but while he is in such urgent need the money serves him way better I imagine.
An individual working for Apple can’t unilaterally donate Apple money to another individual. A big corporation would have to have something set-up to review and award such donation requests. Unless it’s to a Nonprofit, I couldn’t find a link for something like that for any corporation, but maybe someone at Apple would know… ?

This is a multi billion dollar corporation. If they really wanted to do something, they could donate some cash AND an iPad Pro. It's a special case, as there's is probably no one in the UK who has done anywhere near as much as Doug to push IOS music making.
The favorable publicity alone, 'Apple helps IOS pioneer' would be worth it to them, especially at this time of year.
Just bought Moodscaper and I might grab one or two more before the day is done. I would like to suggest that we make sure to leave App store reviews of these, or any apps we have bought previously from the Devs who have got involved in this. It's a very kind and generous gesture.
Added Pianoscaper. Plus a nice review.
Just wanna check, I'm in Asia and by the time I saw this post it's already Tuesday here, can I still participate when I buy the apps?
@necrome said:
I'm afraid not.
@necrome but actually, come to think of it, happy to send you a promo code for JM if you wanted to donate some money to Doug via Paypal (assuming you wanted the app that is). Maybe if you say what app you were after maybe the relevant dev will offer the same.
Made a purchase and thinking of another. Happier holidays everyone.
This is probably the most wonderful initiative I've ever seen, and I got my iTunes card.
However, is anybody else having an issue with the stupid iTunes store not working?
I was actually looking to get the various drummer apps from Mr Martinez, really appreciate your gesture though! @JamMaestro
yes was trying to buy something from the list and can't
hopefully it'll start working again soon
I myself have three things lined up. I never planned to purchase Magellan Jr. prior to this, but one thing I like is it DOES support State Saving. I forgot the other two as I can't seem to access my wishlist either. -__- I asked Yonac via support ticket to extend this app donation thing an extra day as the iTunes Store decided not to fucking work, pardon my language!
Yeah I'm crabby. I have nothing but respect for Doug for all the good he's done, and not being able to help him this way angers me. I should've donated instead of waited to purchase apps, really, and must wait for my next gig to donate directly.
Bravo! Excellent gesture Devs.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Download of Soft Drummer stuck at 85% - what's up with this?
Great initiative, happy to throw in.
Nice one, people.
I just picked up something that had been "resting" on my list.
The iTunes Store is working for you right now?
I'm unable to make purchases. Bad luck that 10.2 dropped today.
