Yeah it's pretty much bummed out in lots of places. Really shitty luck with 10.2 dropping. I'm presuming that's why the store problem.
And thanks to Doug my mood has been scaped. Finally. Great stuff. And again....best wishes.
Picked up WerkBench no problem.
Great to see the walk being walked.
Well mates, I think the best solution is to work something out with Yonac like I did. Apple just HAD to drop 10.2 on us today to cripple the goddamn store. Yonac's a very nice person and is pretty flexible and can work out the best solution to this problem, whether you purchased an iTunes card prematurely or not.
And of course the regular Paypal donation account is open, so I'll be sure to donate more to Doug after my next gig just to make up.
Does anyone know if this includes IAPs? Looking at updating tonestack...
Just bought Navichord via my iPad, is it the itunes app that buggered? Anyway sorry to hear about your situation and all the best Doug. You were instrumental in my introduction to making music on iOS. Take care mate!
Bought Werkbench
itunes working for me now.
Yes, IAP purchases are part of this wonderful event. Best to Doug and his family.
from http://yonac.com/friendsofdoug.html: "When you buy any of the apps listed below on Monday, the profits the developers receive will be going to Doug. Profits from IAPs will also go to Doug."
Yes, the appstore is working now. All the best to Doug, Jo, and Watson.
Oops. Thanks! I'm now motherloaded. Though, http://grammarist.com/spelling/mother-lode/
About time stupid iTunes store, lol.
Bought Drummers Rock and Soft, as well as Moodscaper. Thank you to the Devs for the opportunity to give to someone in need.
All the best Doug. Wishing you health and happiness.
@thesoundtestroom @LuisMartinez Just got Funk Drummer in honor of Doug. Be well my brother from another mother.
It's just great to see what the community is accomplished here together, this is not self-evident anymore. My respect for the contributors devs. Keep it, this is absolutely amazingness
Pickup up Werkbench. Great App! Great cause!
Let's keep this thing rolling before we run out of Monday! Picked up a Bass bundle from @Yonac. Best wishes Doug.
I got Afro-Latin & Brazilian Drums from Luis Martinez as well as Drumkick & Lofionic Duplicat. Happy to be part of this effort.
Yes. Naming all my insane werkbench beats after the man: "hello everybody and welcome, " "very very cool" and the Stevie-wonder-influenced "Sir Doug."
I grabbed brazilian D machine + piano scaper. Had i the money I d have got all lumbeats!
@AlterEgo_UK: I purchased some of your Albums, but never got a receipt. Now I'm not sure the money is being sent. Any way to find out (I'd try again, if something failed). Thanks, cheers, t
Hi @animal thanks for buying some of our albums. Normally you should automatically get a receipt from Bandcamp and from PayPal (if that is where and how you bought the music). Drop me a personal message in my inbox with your email address and name and I will check our sales spreadsheet from Bandcamp to see if it is in there. Since there is only one account attached to the artist account Doug Woods and Colin Powell (mine) I normally pass on half of all sales (post Bandcamp and PayPal fees) to Doug but this month I am passing on my half as well - and we have had the highest amount of sales ever so this is a bumper month! So thank you, everybody!
I really appreciate what the iOS community is doing for Doug and Jo (and Watson) and I am so pleased to be a part of it.
Cheers
Colin
I was on the fence for Luis Martinez apps and for Doug's sake I gave it a go. I have to say I am deeply impressed with Rock drum machine app. Very much useable with good sounds and a good customization.well done Luis!
Ah yeah, by the way. Just t clarify. These are not donations, this is payback time.
Now it looks Doug that you'll need to clean up you act not just for yourself but for the benefit of the whole community. No more sneaky ales!
Same here,
spend my wife brazilian drum + for me the nice softdrummer :-)
Like it!
I picked up everything on the list that I didn't already have.
Wishing Doug the best!
Now, to alleviate my inner cynic: Yonac, Luis, et al.: What was the grand total you received, and what will you be passing along to Doug?
I was lucky enough to already own all of the devs' apps I was interested in, so I bought six of Doug & Colin's albums on Bandcamp. Great music, by the way, and a continuing way in which to support Doug, Jo and Watson.
I doubt they get figures or accurate monetary data that quickly![:p :p](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
You might be right, but it's also entirely electronic. We're not waiting for anybody's check to clear. So why wouldn't that data be available?
You would think the sales figures would be available, if not necessarily the funds. (I'm sure Apple withholds $$ for at least 14 days to account for refunds, etc.)
I'm not trying to hold anyone's feet to the fire. I'm mostly just curious.
