NEW EMOJI !!!!!! Yea!!! JUST what I wanted to make better music with.

And, what is this "TV" thing they speak of ?!?!

  • At least it now has a shrug emoticon. Which is an apt description of the update :D

I hope the update fixes this bloody screen rotate bug, drives me round the bends.

I had he same rotate problem. Seems to be fixed with this update.

  • Guys, i just updated to 10.2 and I thought i had bricked my iPhone 5s. It went unresponsive for like 10 minutes which felt like an eternity! Finally had to do a power button, home button hard reboot and the install came back to life and completed. But even after doing that, I wonder if it was actually installing all along but just took forever!

So beware all 5s or 5 users cause this is the scariest update ive ever done.

Also, screen flickering issues still remain. Might be time to save for a new iPhone. I wonder if this is something apple is doing behind the scenes on every update to force us to update. My screen was rock solid before the 10.1.1 update...

Anyone know if I would be able to revert to another 10 update if this screen flickering issues remain? I would love to test it out and rule out that it was the IOS update that messed up not screen somehow.

    thanks

No problem here on my 5S, so if anything it's not an evil conspiracy against 5S phones.

LOL, yep. I thought it was something wrong with my specific device, ie. maybe the gyro thingy wasn't working anymore. Glad it's finally fixed. That was a real PITA

Cool, as long as there are no other issues, and I can connect to the ruddy store, I'll update the thing.

Yes... unfortunately it looks like mine has come back too. :( I swear it was completely gone for a couple days, but noticed this morning it was doing it again.

Try doing a hard reset... then, swipe up from bottom, set the screen rotate to locked... rotate and make sure it's locked, then unlock it again. Do this 2-3 times.

This seems to have worked for mine at the moment, but who knows how long it will last.

I don't think you can fix it, it's intermittent so you think it's gone but just comes back again. I had a few weeks free, but it's back with a vengeance. I never had this issue with 9x

Are you both on Air 2's? Wondering if it affects other devices.

Apple crossed the threshold a long time ago that makes it near impossible to get customer service and concern for the individual customers problem. A lot of companies have crossed the line too; once you're so successful that your product/service has hundreds of millions of $$$ in revenue & success in spite of themselves it becomes near impossible to get customer service.

Microsoft, Verizon, WalMart, many cable/internet providers, etc. are so ubiquitous in their market sector that the individual customer just doesn't matter. If you're in a class action, maybe. Have huge media coverage on your situation maybe. But something like this, a bug that effects owners of a (to them) obsolete tablet, they could give a shit...

Their mindset works in numbers of seven figures and above, whether it's money, customers, etc. Our $500+ investment in their product? Not even a droplet of mist in their sea. That we iOS music producers probably buy more apps than the average user, who cares?!

It's the Corporate Social Mentality of 21st Century mega-capitalism. Beginning next month that culture will have an even larger influence on life in America...only way to stop it is to stop consuming...and I freely admit I couldn't jump off the grid and eat soybeans in a tent. I like electricity, music making technologies, etc. It's a catch 22 and basically one of those first world problems that we're supposed to feel bad about being pissed at...

Well, F that. I want my screen to stop acting a fool...

  • What's the verdict on this? Safe update?

  • Anybody do it with a 6s?

I get the feeling that Apple release those pointless updates as a cat and mouse game to stop people from Jailbreaking their iDevices.

  • I still have issues with the screen rotation lock on my Air2 with 10.2 as well. Like someone else mentioned, it only seems to happen when using my case though, without it I never have this issue.

  • Updated a few days ago on my Air2, no rotate bug, never had one before either
