It could be different 'scaling' in different devices too?
(In the past there has been issues with rendering of text between devices even running the same version of iOS).
Nothing to do with brightness and all to do with the size of the font which is too small for me to read, whereas I could read the one in FLM2
Unlike Gadget in FLM3 it is also possible to automate effect bypass switches, channel mute and solo switches and master track volume. There's quite a few other things that it does better than Gadget. Gadget still wins in my opinion mainly thanks to its awesome gadgets selection but this is the closest competitor it ever had - competing over which music app I'll spend the most time in that is.
Pretty good update and pretty quick considering when the first version came out. Contrasting with a high profile app such as Flux:fx which is still at version 1 (ish) after almost 2 years ! So, good on them for this and (hopefully) there will be more to come soon.
I'm trying to learn this one (I will say the current documentation is a little sparse) and intend to do a (non eighties sounding !) track in it for next month's SOTMC.
Look forward to hearing that.
you guys are the best
thanks for all of your words of wisdom, encouragement, and good ideas (beat twirl)
Happy 3rd Anniversary to the last Beat Twirl update!
That long huh. It's a real shame he seems to have abandoned it,. as there's nothing else that does what it does as well.
It's nice people are still getting use out of it, but I don't feel bad about not owning it.
funnily enough I've recommended it to others on this forum before, it's always worked for me but for some reason it's hard to keep it in the top layer of app reach in spite of it's uniqueness. Time to dig it out again. Beat Twirl was 9 bucks in the days before 9 buck apps I remember thinking 9bucks!! but I neeed this!
its a great tool, still, even w/out recent updates (mostly seems to be AB issues, which isn't needed for this use case).
With Beat Twirl and Twisted Wave (which bakes in AU fx) or Hokusai (which has its own big bag of tricks) I'm getting my samplitude back on. I'm remembering the Ol' ACP joy, the days when ACP was the only way to connect all the goodness...and Beat Twirl zips all slices and "opens in" AudioShare...
In some ways these kind or "peripherals" for FLM3 seem more worth my time than say synths connected via IAA, since the synths onboard in FLM3 are deep enough for me to play in for some time to come...
does the dev frequent the forum, I wonder?
No idea but I'm going to reach out somehow, share some love
Edit: dropped dude an email, refreshed iTunes review.
This software and the audio editors are reminding me of the great pleasure of playing with .wav samples under glass.
