What are you a Master of?
I was going to post a smart arse comment in the 'Do you master on iOS' thread but decided otherwise as it could actually be an interesting thread itself.
Doesn't have to be limited to Masters degrees as the title implies. In what ways are you obnoxiously over-qualified, ultra-specialised, what funny words can you spell out of the letters preceding your name (if any of us have gone that far..) etc. etc.
I, myself, am a Bass Master, and I have the certificate to prove it!

bating (master of). So I believe. I've often been called a 'anker![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
I hear that the work experience programme is very taxing.
Reality.
(and MSc in Music Technology)
Yes it is. By the time it comes to writing my final essay, I need a helping hand![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Sorry, didn't mean to lower the tone of your thread so soon![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Nothing. I am a master of nothing. Which is why I called my YouTube Channel "TheAudioDabbler" I dabble in everything known to man, not just audio but pretty much anything, just enough to know what and how but not enough to master. Maybe in another 30 years I will have actually master 1 thing or I could just dabble for 30 years and know a little about a million more things.
I do have have 2 associate degrees in IT Networking and IT Security, in which I use in my day job. Those are not masters either but I figured 2 associates equals at least a bachelors, right?
@Fruitbat1919 Your username fits your comments.
I should be certified....does that count ?
Still more legitimate than a masters degree in bass playing..![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Probably more employable too
Yes it does at times![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
You sure we didn't meet while I was a mental health nurse?![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
It's a great question. I'm not a master of anything. I lack the focus, and am too curious about other things to become one at anything. I have a broad knowledge of a lot of stuff, but not super deep knowledge of anything. I absolutely respect and envy people who do master something!
Me too. I'm often in awe at how some people can put there whole being almost into mastering something. I could never remain that focused![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I'm not a master of anything but I have a 'curse' to always see things that can be improved made differently and imho better but lack the knowledge to do so...

I suffered from schizophrenia too, that was a long time ago.
Today, we're fine.
Some of the best people I've met on this weird planet have been those that are considered to have mental health 'issues'. God bless the wacky and weird x
OP-1 hip hop.
Beatboxing, mainly because Its the only thing i can play anytime, wherever, hands free so i end up doing it washing dishes and other meditative times.
I agree, it would be a dull world, if it was solely populated by the 'normal'.
I don't think mastery is achieved by anyone, what I mean by that, is that it's more of an aspirational thing.
I think I would agree with my own feelings towards that last sentence![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Master of none, but jack of all trades.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
For me it is the learning that is interesting too, once I know how to do something, generally I lose interest in doing it and move onto something else.
That is why i love music making so much, there is always something else to learn.
Love learning, but sometimes I just do most of my things in life for fun. Maybe it's my poor health or maybe I just always gravitate towards the fun option. So I will aspire to get better or more learned at something, until it stops being fun, then I'm off to do something that is fun.
Audio Mastering.
I enjoyed the implication that you are a master of mastery itself, before your edit. Very zen!
Master of Puppets, or is it......Pastor of Muppets? I forget..........
